The movie was incredible to see all the characters together again fighting, entertaining from start to finish. Especially getting to see Team Gridman again and Rikka Takarada looking as beautiful as always, and Akane's surprise appearance.

Hopefully we'll see more of this universe in the future.

By the way, the greeting and goodbye between Akane and Anti was beautiful, along with the final scene where the main character finally confesses his love to Rikka and the swing scene.

Those were the most beautiful moments in the movie.

This was a crossover movie which pokes fun at crossover movies as a concept in a very meta way. The conflict being that the universes merging is making things become chaotic and making characters lose focus on the core of what's important to them was a fun way to make the inevitable cast bloat from this movie being a crossover be to its benefit rather than making it boring or hard to follow.

It's basically the series on steroids, filled to the brim with 'fan service' in its original sense, as in scenes that please the fans of the franchise, not as in lewd scenes.
As a standalone it probably doesn't deserve the way higher rating than the series. The SSBU review on the front page nails it, in the end it's really messy. It needing like seven straight minutes of eight different winddown farewell scenes at the end illustrates the point.
But then again it's probably the series that are underrated, not this being overrated.
It did make me like S1 a bit more.

I watched the 3 shows back to back (2 series + movie)
Gridman was ok. I managed to enjoy it because of the animation
Dynazemon was better. The cast and story were better.
The movie was good and the best overall.
6/10 to Gridman
7/10 to the other two
.
Go watch Gintama boyo/grill

It was great seeing both main casts once again. Seeing Rikka and Yume again, I just realized that what makes the franchise so particularly special is how contrasting the very realistic depiction of everyday life interaction and the overly optimistic tone of tokusatsu. Their reactions to everything are just really fun to watch.

Great film, fun movie. Really wished I could see this in cinema. Hope there'll be a next installment!

This was more like sequel to Gridman than Dynazenon and was a much needed one as Dyna already felt more complete. I had mixed feeling with both series but watching this felt rewarding to see with how a series comes to completion. Plot at first felt confusing but compare to both tv show at the end it felt like wrapped up the mystery cleverly.
However I was mostly overwhelmed with the fights that kept goes on and on. At least Akane's entrance happened that blew me with how it happened and was the best part of the movie to me really.

Dynazenon cast was underutilized.

The villain was very weak.

The romance angle should've been cut completely.

But the action and soundtrack were good.

Both series were years ago so I mostly forgot about the story, should have insert short recap at the start.

Good ending for the cast. Akane has real friends now, Yuta got closure and Yume happy in the end.

Looking forward if they make another alternate Gridman universe.

The action is peak and the dialogue has the natural-sounding cadences, it's Gridman, alright.
I especially love how meta this movie is, an in-universe school play script about Gridman, the hero the city keeps forgetting about, Utsumi liking action (of course a cameo of actual Ultras!), and Yuta liking character drama. Since the main characters' relatives bar Rikka's mama rarely appeared, the story was able to use Rikka's university-attending elder brother as a way to make Yuta anxious about revealing his feelings. Also having Alexis Kerib be Rikka's dad during that moment of overwhelming chaos mirrors the dream episode where Rikka visits Akane's house.

The worlds of SSSS.GRIDMAN and SSSS.DYNAZENON overlapped and Yomogi and his friends find themselves lost in Yuta's world. Must be great to have interdimensional wingmen as he and his girlfriend Yume are quick to notice Rikka and Yuta are holding back their true feelings. Glad to see GaumaRex reborn and that Yomogi was able to reconnect with them. Amidst the chaos of merging worlds, Gauma was even able to meet with The Princess again, though it didn't last.

When Yuuta saw that eye, yup it was Akane. The final boss battle was 100% epicness with Girdman, Gridknight, Powered Zenon, Dynzenon and Goldbang all took part in intricate combination and fight sequences. A true celebration of the franchise as it has deep references from Gridman's first host Naoto giving Yuta ride, Akane and her friends cleaning up the river and Anosillus the 2nd having the battleship become her Kaiju shaped armor.
The gattai, exchange of components and weapons, loved it all. Though I hesitate it to call it perfect because there was no Gridman Sigma from Boys Invent Great Hero.

lol Dungeon Meshi cameo when Yume and Yomogi are with the parents.

Ngl I gave up trying to understand the story with Gridman being trapped and creating a new universe or whatever halfway through. For me this was just an opportunity to see the two casts come together and bad ass robots and Kaiju fights. It’s toku afterall. They delivered on that.

The big fight with Alexis was amazing. And we got mahou shoujo Akane!!?? Plus all my ships sailed so I’m happy with the ending. Story could’ve been better, but it hit all the notes it needed to for me. I hope we get more stories in this universe though.

Maybe I should have watched the compilation film because there were a few details from SSSS.Gridman that I totally forgot, still quite enjoyable. Also I was very happy Hass had more lines in this, I really like her design.

the final fight was pure hype, ngl the first half was very slow, even boring
Seeing real world Akane and the confession were the best parts of the movie for me

A little bit too much sometimes, which is something I kinda expect from Studio Trigger's maximalist signature. But overall I'm glad I'm in this Gridman journey.

Since I haven't watch the original Gridman (the 90s era) I'm probably miss most of the reference, but thanks Trigger for creating its own universe and relying on in-universe reference, I understand, or at least I think I understand what I see here.

It's our boi Gauma! Ah, one of my favorite types of fanservice: a well-executed crossover animation.

Akane becomes a magical girl.

I enjoyed the first part more than the second, the fights were hampered by the cringy over the top music. Would have been better to have a more neutral sounding instrumental track.
