Long story short, I think this should be moved to the current season Winter 2025 instead of being in limbo/Fall 2024

Yeah I understand it just barely missed the cutoff mark for Fall but considering majority of the episodes are airing alongside Winter 2025 I just think an exception should be made

I don't know if this is only true on my device, but for me it is listed as ONA 2024 (because it started in 2024).
But if I look at the database, it is listed in both Fall 2024 and winter 2025 (in the ONA category). Two cour anime seasons are only listed in the first season if they are airing without a break between cours.

I agree, the rules should be changed. If more than 80% of the episodes air in the next season, the anime should belong to that season and not to the season in which the first episode aired.

there have been many anime in the past that started a week before the season

i think sword Isekai was one of them

it's a Chinese ONA, it has nothing to do with TV anime airing seasonally in Japan

ONA are displayed in whatever timeframe they still air

the winter solstice was Dec 21, 2024, so I dunno what calendar would consider Dec 27 to be fall.
