| Sure, it's not a comedy anime, but what are these comments saying there is no comedy at all? This show has a lot of light-hearted moments and humorous interactions. Maybe these don't "count" as comedy to some people? I personally loved its gentle sense of humor, even though it didn't make me burst out laughing. I totally understand if the comedy didn't work for you. But I disagree that the comedy is "unnecessary." It's a drama with slice-of-life stylings, with a character who is in a truly dark place but learns to connect with people. And he starts smiling, even in sad and serious moments. Without the humor and occasional goofiness, the story just would not work very well. |

I agree with you, I understand those comedic elements show that Kiriyama's life is getting brighter. I just don't like it when some jokes ruin serious scenes. Anyway, thank you for your comment.
