Reactions outta Venice are quite muted. Looks like another weak film from Hosoda. Safe to say he’s washed

@VKDOOM That was a joke, right? His movies range from "very good" to "excellent; instant classic".

@Airsaber If you told me this up to Boy and the Beast, I'd agree. But Belle and Mirai were both very weak films

@VKDOOM What do you mean? Mirai might have been less enganging than I thought, though still a solid movie, and Belle was engaging *and* absolutely beautiful to look at and listen to - a sentiment shared by pretty much every person with whom I talked about watching Belle, even though some of them have/had pretty different tastes than mine. I'm not sure what could even be a weak spot of this movie.
