| So much ignorance here. Look, Rintarou appears to most of the people around him like some sort of monster. Even ignoring his exceptional height, which makes him seem threatening enough, his hair color and piercings (and his RBF) make him look like a dangerous delinquent. So vulnerable people really would fear for their safety if they ended up in his immediate vicinity in case they somehow managed to annoy him. Yes of course it's exaggerated for effect, but it truly does reflect Japanese society. |

Idk if it was just me, but the eps quality felt lower, compared to the other 3 eps where it felt like it was 1080p, opposed to 720p for ep4.
This ep adapted ch 5-7. Once again the pacing is disturbing, but imma trust the director. Small changes, but doesn't impact anything. Really hoping this next ep somehow adapts from ch 8 - 11 for this arc to end.

| @JayDaAnimeLord I know the bar for the manga art and details is so high already that it's difficult for anime to fill those shoes, so every time I watch an episode it's hurting my eyes. If only there was this anime god to make every frame perfect. |
| It's really interesting how this show starts with a trope and then manages to subvert your expectations. I was fully expecting Rintaro to go back to sulking and cut off contact with Waguri after that encounter with Subaru considering how low his self-esteem is and how he has a tendency to push others way for the sake of protecting them. Yet, despite that, he stands his ground, that is actually some subtle but great character development. The Rintaro from two episodes ago would not have done that. What I also love is that It's not like he's completely indifferent to Subaru's words, they will keep coming back to haunt him and I'm excited to see how he manages to work through them. Subaru is a really interesting character though, girl has problems. Like i understood her intentions, but she chose all of the wrong ways and words to convey it to Rintaro. She also seems to see her own happiness realized through Waguri, which is not at all healthy. Hoping to see some more development of her character. Looks like Rintaro will have to break the news to his friends next episode, I wonder how they will react lol. I'd imagine Natsusawa would not be the most thrilled haha. |

| Kaoruko and Rintaro's "date" was great. It was so cute and wholesome. But then Subaru showed up out of nowhere. So, Subaru was bullied when she was a child. I thought she dyed her hair or something. But it's her actual hair color? She actually looks really cool with it tho. Ig it's more understandable why she hates men now. But it's still pretty childish. I think going to an all-girls school definitely had an effect. And also being next to Chidori which has a terrible reputation. She simply didn't interact with many men. That aside, it does seem like she really cares about Kaoruko. But seriously. Even the teachers hate Chidori? More than the students? Bruh. Wtf happened. I hope there's more to it other than Chidori boys just being poor and having low grades. Anyway, Subaru is a good friend. I liked how Rintaro straight-up turned her down. He really likes Kaoruko. But I wonder what he's gonna do when actually causes her trouble. It's weird how random people are so wary of Rintaro. He doesn't even look scary. He's more like a gentle giant than a scary delinquent. Lmao that cliffhanger ending. |

@Niwaka-Samurai Think it’s just a Japan thing anyone who is tall has piercings and his colour seem to considered a dangerous delinquent or have some connection to the yakuza.

| I kinda knew what Subaru wanted. And I was SO happy that Rintaro actually stood up for himself and didn't just fold for the sake of tension. Hell yeah. I hope this poor girl can reach out and maybe become friends with more people. She's sweet, but misguided. |

| How I wish I didn't "get" where Subaru is coming from...to have someone so dear that you want to protect their happiness at any cost. I'm really looking forward to finding out more about her. Another great episode. |
| What a masterpiece of a cliffhanger. Now I understand why this anime has such a high rating of 8.8/10. A date in the first few episodes (something so rare in most romcoms), followed by Rintaro’s friends finally finding out about his relationship with Kaoruko, something we’ve all been wondering about for ages. When exactly were Rintaro’s friends going to find out? Turns out, by episode four, and not just casually, but right in the middle of class with all the classmates present! I have no idea how Rintaro’s going to explain his way out of this, but I seriously can’t wait to find out. That aside, i'm super glad that Rintaro answered Subaru genuinely and honestly. Which is that he cannot stop dating Kaoruko just because Subaru wants Kaoruko to save her scholarship. What surprised me is why Rintaro didn't want to text Kaoruko these news? Didn't he already answer Subaru honestly and sincerely? If you're going to stay true to your convictions and determination, then don't stray from your path. Otherwise, turning down Subaru's request would’ve been completely meaningless, Rintaro. Get yourself together. |

| @2oe Pretty much. There are different forms of address and speech that convey levels of intimacy or hierarchy. They had basically agreed to use the "friend" form, but are both so naturally polite (and cutely awkward round each other) that they keep forgetting and are speaking less intimately as you do to a stranger. |
Cutest NPCs ever From Subaru pov she is right so can't blame her and she accepted Rintaro and apologized. Kinda messed up teachers themselves promote hate. Then there's those idiots in Chidori celebrating like mad for Usmai and Rintaro. This anime is about school rivalry but how anyone can seriously favours Kikyo over Chidori. I liked Subaru and she looks great with white-green hair. Trying to "protect" Koaruko is good and all. I hope this drama/misconception doens't drag on. As Rintaro started having doubts after rejecting to back down. Rintaro friends probably gonna support him if ig. Anyway still peak  Glutton girls are really best. Saved his sports festival with her notes.. |

| Rintaro and Kaoruko studied together, talked about Subaru, then Subaru talked to Rintaro and asked him not to see Kaoruko. The day of the test, Rintaro did very well. And then his desk was knocked over with Kaoruko's study guide for him open to a page with her name on it. Uh-oh. Great episode! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm really curious how Subaru's going to factor into everything. And now that Rintaro's friends seem to know about Kaoruko, what's going to happen? Cliffhanger! |

| I really liked this episode. I'm praying that they just tease Rintaro about having a girlfriend and leave it at that instead of Suwa realizing she's from kiyoko. But knowing anime, i'm guessing the latter is going to happen. |

Hafu? Albino? An elf in a reverse isekai? And most importantly: Why has she been wearing the same shirt since preschool? 😅 A truly intriguing character, she captured my attention. |
| Kaoruko and Rintarou's studying date is cute and wholesome, and she even helped him to pass that midterm-exams too! That's very kind of her. About Subaru, she isn't quite that selfish so that's good to know since Kaoruko saved her from bullies in the past. That cliffhanger ending though... Things are gonna get complicated now. |

| So good man. Every episode always makes me smile each and everytime and I love it. That talk in the cafe was an interesting one. Subaru trying to keep Rintarou away from Waguri is reasonable, I can understand why she doesn't won't Waguri to be with Rinatarou but, wouldn't that be bad for their relationship? I really hope Subaru ends up finding Rinatrou and Waguri being together okay because Rintarou is a great guy. And that cliffhanger, I wonder what the guys are gonna think about Rinatrou now. 5/5 |
| I really liked the first half of this one, like damn these two need to get a room ASAP lol, it already looks like they’re madly in love. I imagine it’ll be a while before they actually become a thing, especially because of all the roadblocks like the schools that hate each other thing and Subaru throwing the drama out there that Rintaro hanging with Kaoruko might mess with her current situation that she worked hard for, but if there was nothing coming between these two then I’m adamant that they’d end up together in no time. Now the Subaru drama itself is interesting, like I wanna just say she can kick rocks and leave the star couple alone, but she actually has a point and I’m not sure what the right answer is. Clearly it would be wrong for Rintaro to back off because Kaoruko clearly enjoys hanging with him, and it would also potentially ruin her friendship with Subaru if she found out it was her that caused Rintaro to stay away, so yeah it seems like there’s no real way to win lol, but that makes it all the more interesting, hopefully they’ll work something out. It was also nice seeing those schoolgirls thank Rintaro for giving up his seat to them at the library, I’m not a huge fan of the scenes where people are scared of Rintaro for no reason so that was a breath of fresh air, hopefully it caused a domino effect. And lastly, damn the boys found out about Kaoruko helping Rintaro study, not sure how they’re gonna take that but it was just for studying, I don’t see why it matters. |
| Man, this Subaru chick is so gay for her friend and she doesn't even know it. And her reason for being a misandrist was so lame, btw. Drag of an episode if I'm honest. Study session/date between Rintarou and Kaoruko was fairly generic and the second half with Subaru acting unreasonable behind her friend's back was a pain to get through. Not to mention this animosity between schools continues to be portrayed as ridiculous as ever. Now even the Kikyo teachers can't stand Chidori. My god... |

| Each of Kaoruko's vignettes is like a purification of the soul: they are so sweet and beautiful. As Kaoruko herself said, Subaru is not a bad person. It's clear that she has deeply appreciated her since they were little. I really liked that even when Subaru asked Rintarou to stay away—and he understood her point of view about risking her scholarship at Kikyo—he decided to follow his feelings and refused. What surprised me the most was Subaru's response: even though it hurt her, she accepted his decision. I expected it to take longer to see the real Subaru, but now that I've seen her... I like her even more. It turns out that the hostility between Kikyo and Chidori wasn't just student drama: Kikyo's teachers are the ones fueling the division and judgment. For such a prestigious girls' school, it's a very flawed system. Unfounded discrimination like that is already quite worrying... and now Saku has found out about Kaoruko and Rintarou. Things are going to get even more complicated. |

| I gotta say, this show is making my heart skip a beat, and reminding me how amazing romance animes are. JEEZ LA WEEZ, the amount of suspence that cliff hanger brough is making me SUPER EXCITED TO WATCH THE NEXT ONE! but one thing is for sure, this shows MC has to be the NICEST dudes of ALL time. Next to MC of 100 gf of course (idontknowthatanimejustwordofmouth). I have got to give it em tho, the foil between the main characters being 'interesting' due to the side characters while exploring the dynamic and interesting world of said characters, it kind of out shines other shows with this sort of 'deeper' dive character exposion. And then again, THIS SHOW JUST REMINDS ME OF TORADORA SO MUCH AHHHHHHH(fangirling). Also, this is a show targeting dudes. VERY like cute, and lighthearted but heavily targeting guy. Since it kind of builds its perspective from the dudes. And then of course, the main heroine is so FREAKING ADORABLE. She is a super hero for a lot of the characters, making them act in ways that might be a bit like an over protective bear, i mean parent, leading to their outburst, then recognition of that, then their repose to that recognition. MOST of the characters double down, while the main character, sees that if this is appropriate or not then chooses to act in defense not of the heroine but also everyone around him. Which genuinely I cant find myself doing if I'm in the heat of the moment if I was a dumb 16 year old, ( and at one point I was) and the other characters ADMIRE HIM FOR, thanking him for his kindness, then being surprised that he just a guy. wait this dude is like 6'7" and in high school so it would make sense for them to be like "oh no, im dead".... WAIT A MIN IT DOESNT, HES JUST A KID... regardless. Its a nice nostolgic feeling I get when watching this anime. sort of reminds watching a different anime in middle school, with an ANGRY tsun short smart girl, that has a scary, soft, lovable dumb boy but instead of going to oppisite schools they went to one together. Sigh, Anyway Long ass rant over. RATING TIME. uh 10/10 PLOT: 10/10 no notes Background story: 9/10 why subaru gotta ruin the mood jk shes just looking out for her HEROOOO (pretend natsuki subaru saying heroo) OST: 10/10 sweet, light, melancholy with subaru's tale THEME: 8/10 I... honestly its the one thing I didnt like. Why was the point of the previous episodes, it feels like this episode was made to undo that. ya know? idk BUT the show must go on CHARACTER: 9/10 as mentioned before it feels like, its coming undone. But the progress exhibited by the MC makes it all the more entertaining, the foil the side characters are going to bring, it makes it all the more fun and exciting. I cant wait for next week. OVERALL: 10/10 I had some issues, but quickly went away when considering the plot line the dynamic of the characters. And how fun it would be to watch all this unfold. Regardless. Them boys aint gonna like that he was helped by them smart girls, and them ladies aint gonna like that she hanged around some hoodlum. AHH sweet, sweet, peer pressure I wonder if the factions are gonna tell our main characters from both sides are gonna tell them to stay away from each other and then the MCs are gonna hang out in secret. Anyway BYEEEE |

| Getting both schools to understand each other is the only solution for both sides to benefit atp. Sounds ignorant, but that's simply how it is. No amount of past trauma or bad experiences with the opposite gender should make you generalize, much less discriminate an entire gender. That kind of irrational hatred can carry over into adulthood, and I for sure don't want them to grow up into misogynistic/misandrist retards. And also, fire those teachers because what do you mean they hate the other school more than their students 💀 Point made, cute episode like always. Looking forward to next week. |
