What an amazing and beautiful ending!!!
Ohhh Season 2 pleaseeee i need more sweet and cute moments between Marie and Kazuhiro!
Very lovely to see how they express their feelings each other and how they journey travelling around Japan, like Kazuhiro introduce wonderful world to Marie, it's very awesome!
And for the opening song is make me fallin in love for the first time I'm listen especially for the chorus I can feel like I'm going to magical world and have an adventure! What a wonderful song warm my heart!
Thank you very much to Zero-G for making amazing and awesome anime for this season, and I hope there'll be 2nd season for "Nihon e Youkoso Elf san!"

This was a super cute and super chill little isekai, I really enjoyed it and personally wouldn't mind another season of watching our two lovebirds deepen their relationship.

@SenpaiTM I agree, but I wouldn't be opposed to a second season either.

Finished, a really fun anime, not grandiose but still watchable. It had a somewhat different proposal, alternating between going and returning from the isekai through dreams. Kazuhiho and Maria were good characters overall, but after Wridra joined the group, it got better, even though she didn't appear much. 14:43, that kiss was just like in the manga. The ending is quite slice of life, but the adaptation cut out the exploration of the labyrinth, which was disappointing because it would have introduced Eve, the Dark Elf, who is an interesting and cool character.

I am surprised that they decided to go for the kiss scene and even got the characters to talk about it and clarify, I am literally flabbergasted. Considering this show has no romance tag.
(I think there is literally another seasonal with romance tag that has no romance at all)

Sadly this seems like a wrap up to not make a season 2, which is very sad in a way.

Anyway.

Hopefully this gets a s2 eventually...really deserves it...

somewhat a surprising end to this series going for a more slice of life calm approach, considering they still had their dungeon exploration going on I woulda thought they'd make a continuation of this rather than all of this be just about them's enjoying life but I have always liked that aspect more than the action and adventuring going on in the other world
we always knew Kazuhiho's granddad knew about the other world so was surprised it was admitted but happy it was mentioned, tho curious what relation he had with this world too

wasn't my no.1 of this season but I will miss this a bit, just sad we didn't get more Mewi ahahahah

How did the grandpa know tho..? Anyway what a fun show combining the usual tropes but doesn’t give generic and boring vibes at all

I think this was a great way to wrap up the show, we got some nice development between Marie and Kazuhiro and generally not much else but that's fine.

To talk about this show as a whole this is easily my favourite anime of the season and its not close this show for me had no drop off's at all and done what it was meant to absolutely perfectly. It gave plenty of times for both worlds had great development for the main 2 and generally never strayed away from what the show is.

I think the plot was handled very well particularly seeing Marie adapt to Japan and learn the language and customs of a new world plus having to hide being a elf was handled incredibly well. I don't think the fantasy world was too interesting but in no way was it bad it just gets somewhat overshadowed

To talk about the cast its a fairly small cast consisting of only 4 really important characters. I think Kazuhiro is a great male lead and Marie is a amazing female lead but pair them together and their a incredible pair to watch bounce of eachother and slowly grow together. I think while not inherently a romance anime I think the romance aspect was handled well and showed the subtle change between them happen very naturally.

As for Widra I think generally she's a good character and fun to have around, she never really had any major development but I think she's fun regardless and finally while we didn't see him much Kazuhiro's grandfather was also a nice touch to the show.

So while having a very small cast I believe this show is still amazing from how Kazuhiro and Marie's relationship is handled.

Amazing show overall 9/10

I was quite surprised with the finale, I wasn't expecting a kiss but here we are.

Quite heartwarming, and overall just a feel-good type of anime.

Felt it ended on a good point, but I have to agree with the other comments- the fantasy world side definitely had a lot of unresolved plot and I’m hoping for a season 2 to see them get resolved.

Definitely look forward to “lighter” titles like this every season, and while it wasn’t a masterpiece, it was one of the better shows I watched this season.

Well, one more winter 2025 show down, on to spring

Now, that's a pure-like relationship I admire, and I'm glad I get to see it in this series as well... I'm glad we got this kind of romance instead of the immoral ones we get to see these days... Anyway, I'm glad this series got adapted, AND I NEED MORE!!!

Props to the people who made that scene wonderful!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Pretty enjoyable series overall, not too intence and with an interesting premise. They managed to complete it in a nice and satisfying way. Wridra was such a joy too, really glad she wasn't a one-off character, but became an important member of the cast too. Grandpa who got included into knowing the truth was also a nice touch for the final.

A protagonist who looks like Mariabelle can be seen in Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou (manga), though the story is boring.
@kuroneko99 Personality-wise, Nephelia is pretty much like Mariabelle.

we ended on a W for a show with elf in japan in it's name we hardly spent a lot of time here till the end so the split between the dream and japan really sucked a lot of joy out of me watching this since all the dream stuff was just super boring

anyho i really liked gramps wish he showed up sooner , and they kissed! which some how didn't turn into anything else

overall this was a pretty cute romance /elf in the real world genre Mariabelle is insanely cute and somewhat aggressive by the end left his dude beet red half the episode

7/10 i need more of them just dating living life in japan and less of boring isekai crap which somehow got reduced even more in the anime

Now this is the best way to end a series! Looking forward to the next season in the future.

A little bit of fluff, some fanservice, and a glimpse into Kazuhiro’s past. And finally—Kazuhiro and Mariabelle kissed! It was such a beautiful scene with the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

The grandpa and Mariabelle got along so well, like a true granddaughter-in-law and grandfather-in-law. But the mystery still remains… just how much does he really know about the other world?

You know we have dragons, magic and being transported to another world. But the least believable part of this story is that a beautiful elven girl had her first kiss after 100 years... really?

The premise of this show was quite good, but it all falls apart with the age of the protagonists. Him behaving like a teenager in heat is bad enough, but arguably it's even worse for the 100 year old elf. Who apparently also knew nothing about her own world despite spending 100 years in it. At least there was Wridra. 5/10

i figured this one would be just a quirky 'tourist trap advertisement' for various spots in Japan... that's why i put it on the back burner till it was completed.

kinda like those Conan episodes they have once a year where Shinichi, Ran, and Kogorou go somewhere other than 'Fictional Tokyo' and solve some mystery. of course, sponsored by that Prefecture's Tourism Board and the folks at TMS Entertainment take tons of pictures scouting locations for photorealistic anime settings. or how Yuru Camp goes around spots nearabouts that one central town and does those beautiful landscapes to advertise camping locations and Japan's wilderness.

but nope, we got a few good slices of 'isekai life' alongside 'Ms. Elf and Mrs. Dragon Enjoy Japan'.

it was a very pretty and fun show, i do hope it gets a S2 and more.

also, as to that one Reviewer on the front page with their crap viewpoint of this MC. ignorant fool. this is 'pure romance' anime. these stories DON'T use deeply adult relationships with lots of sex and adult etc. stuff. sure, this guy is 25, a working adult, and Ms. Elf is over 100... but just like the more famous 'living under one roof reverse-isekai romcom' 'Oh! My Goddess'... you got two grown people in a relationship, plus her sisters with all three being otherworldly ladies... living together etc. whereas here? they DO sleep together, even if it is a 'transportation mechanic' between the two worlds... plus Mrs. Dragon too. ;>

so this one is a little less-pure than the classic titles from 20+ years ago and older. :D and frankly we got a kiss on the lips in the first season? SCANDALOUS! LASCIVIOUS! ;> hah! ;>

i did want to see more screen-time in the adventure world and less of Japan... but i get it... that wasn't the premise of this show 100%... the 'hometown boy' shows everything off to 'the foreigner girl'... and highlights all that is gorgeous and wonderful and picturesque about his homeland. instead of MABA it's MJBA (make America beautiful again/Japan) :D hahahah! :D

mhm greenlight that S2 and i'll watch it. :D
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

This final was very great, lovely and sooo sweet. I loved how Marie could speak openly with Kazuhiros grandfarther and how he reacted to her being an elf. Also the moment were both spoke about Kazuhiros childhood was very sweet. When Kazuhiro entered the kitchen and tried to tell Marie that he could see her ears was so funny. Also their travel to the castle, were Marie and Widras cat studied the tactics and weapons of the japanese was very funny again. At the end both had a really romantic moment at the park, where they finally shared a kiss (which was sooo cute). When both returned to Tokyo it was so beautifull so see how their relationship developed so far. Both walking hand in hand to the sunset was really cute again. Hopefully this anime will get a second season and that it wouldn't be soo long to wait for it. :D

This was such a wholesome anime. I really loved seeing the interactions between Kazuhiro and Marie. From start to finish, I had a big smile on my face, and I was giggling so much the whole time that my cheeks and jaw hurt a lot XD. Marie is so precious and cute, I loved seeing all her reactions, it made me genuinely smile from the heart. Wridra was so fun to watch too. She is such a great onee-san and a wingman for them. And that kiss at the end, I literally jumped with joy when it happened. It was so precious 😭💖

Thank you so much Makishima Suzuki sensei for making such an amazing anime and thanks to all the staff and studio too for animating it beautifully. I really hope we get a season two because I loved them so much and want to watch more of it 💖

Such a beautiful series! Those Mari-Kazu moments were heartwarming to watch as well as their interactions with other precious people.

Though, many questions left unanswered.

Sequels?

Absolutely loved watching this anime. Mariabelle is super cute and Wridra is the best wingwoman cuz she's a dragon and got wings... get it? lol
