“You&I=we’re idol precure” On one hand, I am so proud of the girls coming into their own as idols and preparing for their first live. On the other hand, I hate we didn’t get to see it 🥹 leaving off on a cliffhanger after all that buildup sucks.

The girls did such a good job with everything, even Tanaka couldn’t help but be impressed. Set list, location scouting, getting feedback from fans, they’ve really become proper idols right before our eyes. I think Kaito’s “lives are an irreplaceable space” was a really nice sentiment because lives really are opportunities to hang out and have fun with your oshi. There’s a unique energy to idol concerts that western gigs just don’t have, the fact the girls don’t have it all figured out yet actually adds to the authenticity of everything!

Could’ve done without the fight this week so we got the actual live, but it is what it is.

Oh brother, ANOTHER Kaito episode next week with Uta trying to put her feelings for him into words.. I’m sure the fandom is going to be totally normal and civil this week lol

I was finding strange that were dropped a specific location. And now I know this is episode is more a promotion than as simple episode.

Rolling my eye when Kaito's interview was in dim lit room.

i expected this season to be a total slam dunk for me (as a massive aikatsu fan) but it sort of feels like it's dragging and honestly is a little boring ): it just feels like the idol half of the show and the precure half of the show don't really mesh together.

In any event, trying to come up with a name for the concert seemed like a running gag, especially with Uta "struggling" the most, especially after Purirun came up with a title that...I guess everyone knew wasn't going to be used.

I disagree with the idea that this episode is "just" promotion for the actual concert (along with the idea that shows like this are just glorified toy commercials, but anyway...). Idol Pretty Cure was going to have to put on a live concert sooner or later, and there was going to be an important episode where they do just that, regardless of whether it's based around an actual event or not.

The next episode will have Uta (I think) get a new power up item, the Idol Heart Ribbon, which I'm guessing they're going to need against the next Ranborg...

amazing, they are so famous now.
the venue where the girls will perform can hold 5,000 people.

lol, would have been funny if Chokkiri found Cutty and Zakkuri handing out promo posters for the idols.

also Uta is nice to include those three girls to the performance. Well, the more the merrier.

I like this, it reminds me of the backstage videos of the concert of Minami Kuribayashi I watched a while ago from a concert of her I downloaded from nyaa. Also, MERERON PLEASE STICK TO YOUR HUMAN FORM because you're sexier. I'll give it once again to the Pretty Cures because even if the Gozyuger episode was good, the Gingaman cameo and the obsession of those in charge of Gozyuger with Yasuzo Kobayashi in slowly getting on my nerves. Now, back to watch Kyuranger in preparation of Star Twinkle Precure and as a celebration for the starting of the Broadcasting of Saint Seiya (of which Kyuranger is a live-action/sentai rendition) in Japan in 11 October of 1986.

Ah ok, the main writer of Gozyuger also wrote some episodes of this series, which I had not idea to be a thing. Which is the reason why it gave me Choujin Sentai Jetman vibes when the main Super Sentai thing didn't. The same friggin' person writing an entire super sentai show as the main writer struggled and still struggles with the Toei honchos while also having moments when she clearly didn't gave a fuck about what she was doing, while writing Kimi to Idol she doesn't nor she didn't in the episodes she wrotes. It makes 0 sense to speak of. As a side note, does anybody know if Hibiki is a reference to the KR of the same name? I wonder.

I agree. The first 12 episodes were genuinely entertaining but this season is definitely taking it's sweet ass time with the story. :/ I think the whole thing with Meroron is the main cause of this... 18 or so episodes of one big character arc that tbh doesn't even feel worth it even after it was resolved (though it could be the Meroron hater in me talking...but love or hate the character, we all can agree that that took way too long, right?).

In case you haven't figured it out, the three girls are animated versions of the trio that performs the show's OP and the first ED (aka the first group attack).

I made a really big oopsie in my previous post. Ranborgs are from Hirogaru Sky. I meant to say "Darkranda". Sorry about that, everyone.
