| It started strong but quickly fell apart. Episode 2 was a snooze fest with some weirdly placed fan service, then episode 3 strongly leaned into the fantastical and super natural. It didn't help that they introduced so many new characters so fast and theyre all either boring or unlikable. The quirky funny anime about middle age crisis and identity crisis quickly devolved into unfunny supernatural and uninteresting characters. Dropped |

| At least they didn't wait until the end of their 7th episode before showing the supernatural, like Samurai Flamenco did. I kind of just wanted to watch a show where strong & near-crazy people take on the roles of their favourite hero/villain and not actually introduce supernatural elements. But at the very least it wasn't too much of a bait and switch like Samurai Flamenco was. |
| It's hilarious how basically all the important female characters introduced so far have really impressive-looking bosoms, lol. Toujima is really awkward around other people, huh? At first, I thought it would be a funny show about people trying to make their childhood superhero dreams come true, but now, after the monsters were introduced (Shocker is real, lol), it seems it will be less grounded. But I'm positive. So far I've been enjoying all kind of stuff that appeared in this show, be it funny or action-centered. ;p So let's see where will this anime go with supernatural stuff. At least this anime made it clear fairly early what kind of supernatural elements to expect. |

| While Tojima and Yuriko fight over their heroic calls, the real Shocker in the flesh surprising Nakao and the rest of the "heroes" to deal a bout in the most insane and flamboyant way, the real trouble comes when there's actually a mastermind behind all of this to give them the perception that their evil is real, facing quite the monster. The surprise of the restaurant manager Mitsuba Shimamura knowing where they come from, and his backstory in order is a must. As compared to Tojima and Yuriko, Mitsuba's backstory is a rather tragic one, accompanied by his older brother Ichiyo to witness Shocker's act of evil. That's where the story ends for now, as his lady boss Yukarisu pushes him back to work, with the desperation on his face to exchange contacts with Yuriko. But Asano, LMAO of his life to try dating Yuriko, on the cusp of someone else also having an affection for Yuriko, though it's Yukarisu acting as a Shocker spy on watch of Mitsuba. What a fire-fuelled sequence of events, where will this fight go? |
