The Jump Super Stage for Sakamoto Days at Jump Festa 2026 announced a second season for the anime series on Saturday, revealing a teaser promo and teaser visual (pictured).

Produced by TMS Entertainment, the first anime season adapting Yuuto Suzuki's action comedy manga aired in split cours in Winter 2025 and Summer 2025. Netflix streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and an English dub.

Suzuki began drawing the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in November 2020. Shueisha published the 25th volume on December 4. Sakamoto Days has a cumulative 15 million copies of its volumes in print.

VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release in July 2021 and published the 19th volume on November 11, with the 20th volume scheduled for a January 6 release. Shueisha began simulpublishing the manga in English on its Manga plus website in November 2020.

Very happy about this, as well as the news about Kaiju No. 8 getting a sequel. I knew Sakamoto Days would get more seasons. The manga is very popular, and is one of the Top 10 best selling manga of 2025. Kaiju No. 8 anime is coming to an end it seems, but with Sakamoto Days, since the manga is ongoing, it's going to be around for a while. Fingers crossed that a sequel to HxH (2011) is announced soon, as HxH is also a Jump manga. Also hoping for an announcement of the third season of Owari no Seraph, as that is also a Jump manga. But since I have started buying and reading the volumes of the manga and seeing what happens beyond the second season after years of waiting for a third season and getting tired of waiting and thought that a third season will never happen, I sort of would prefer it if a third season didn't get announced. Like ever.

Hell yeah. As expected 🙏
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Take me back to the days before MAL became infested with Twitter's favorite buzzwords.

I didn't even expect that. How awesome. The first season was already crazy, the second one is sure to be even more intense and crazy. I'm already looking forward to it gogo 😊😊

Of course, I mean. But yeah, I'd assume it'll more or less look the same like the first two cours.

This series has been fun, I can't wait. The second half of season 1 really got me hooked and I hope this season keeps the same energy.
