Frieren Fridays are back!
It has been almost 2 years, but seeing Frieren airing once again is like meeting up with an old friend that you haven't seen in a long time. That's the feeling I felt when watching the first episode and seeing Frieren, Fern and Stark travel along their journey, getting involved in one fun adventure or mishap here and there.
The production values are still crisp and beautiful and Evan Call's soundtrack is pure excellence. The new OP from Mrs Green Apple was pretty good, but Milet's ED song was amazing, both for the song and the visual style that they went with.
Overall, this episode was great. This second season might be only 10 episodes long, but I'm so glad that Frieren is back one way or another. =)

I had the same feeling too!

The only sad part about this season really is we're only getting 10 episodes, but at least we are getting 10 PEAK episodes.

10/10, I'll always be grateful to Madhouse for this one.
Thank you Madhouse for giving us Peak!

I also wasn't expecting for them to reappear so soon, but I'm glad they did, because they were all really interesting!
LuisSV23 said:As for Frieren, I really liked how the concept of 'I entrust you with my life' is (unsurprisingly) an idea she picked up from Himmel.
It's always so heartwarming to see Frieren picking up things from Himmel, like that one!
MrMcFunkaDunk said:Frieren being back already feels unreal and the episode flew by like it was five minutes long. Even after the break between seasons, it felt like the story has just carried on like we havnt had to wait. That’s what I love about this series, it just flows so naturally.
This really explains one of the best things about this anime! It's kind of magical how the anime just flows so naturally.

For real, I was already expecting for my comment to be in the 2nd page, since it has been some hours since the episode released, but it's already with almost 150 comments, this is crazy.

Just wanted to say that I loved the GIF xD
rasterman7 said:This episode in itself showed not only how Stark values Frieren and Fern's encounragement but how Fern trusts him with her life by the way she was holding that bracelet.
It was really cute how Fern was holding closely that bracelet when Stark was carrying her out of the cave, just goes to show how much she values it, and how, in that moment, she trusted him to save her.

It feels like the reunion with an old friend, you miss them when they're gone, but when you see each other again, it seems like the most natural thing in the world.
That's a really good way to put how this episode felt like! It's just wholesome how it seems there wasn't even a 2 year gap between the 1st and the 2nd season! |
