| They played one of my favorite OSTs's variation after the opening. So glad to see that Evan Call is back. And the opening is by Mrs.Green Apple, the one that did Apothecary Diaries's latest opening too! Frieren, Fern and Stark are as great as ever. We see them in a journey and not a tournament. Thats the best part. Even the ED is just like the last one. |
| Ending animation is stunning. They are getting me to feel so many emotions already and it's just episode 1! Can't wait for more. |

| Only Frieren can start a season with "shall we go, then?" as if the viewers too are going on a grand (or, really, not-so-grand) adventure. I cannot believe over two years has passed since Season 1. Am I turning into Frieren? I love the ending sequence. milet's music is part of Frieren's identity at this point, and she delivered: this new song is distinct from last season's, but feels just as Frieren-y. Music aside, I must mention the gorgeous visuals. Mimei Aoume's art style is technically impressive for how much detail is constantly being tracked throughout the entire ED. That one rotating shot of Frieren casting the flower field spell... I don't think I have seen anything like it. There's the rotating camera, the moving flowers, Frieren swinging her staff, fabric movement, and petals swirling in the air all at once... The resulting effect makes a perfect crescendo for the ending. How did a human even create this?? Speaking of Mimei Aoume: them working on this ending sequence was a match made in heaven. They have always had a knack for rotating shots, plants, and butterflies. In this case, the plants in question are the very important flowers, and the butterflies symbolize Frieren's metamorphosis through her journey. |

There's a post on twitter showing what is essentially a book collection-sized paper block with what was used in the ending. |
