Ah yes, seven episodes in and we finally get the oshi-obsessed fan I’ve been waiting for. They really let that guy’s seiyuu ramble about absolutely nothing for a whole minute, while Kinoshita just stood there, completely unfazed. She wasn't wrong though as well, there’s way too much Tamon going on right now. A big overload of Tamon’s C-side in that part of the episode lol.

Anyway, the only person happier than Tamon right now is Fujita, so it was nice seeing him all smiles too. Ofc it didn’t last long, because he started crying again thanks to Keito stepping in. But hey, our girl stood her ground and put him in his place, and then our king Fujita showed up to save the day and even invited her on a summer trip.

More than anything though it really feels like this is setting up a showdown between her and Keito xD

Very solid episode. There were a lot of things about last week's episode that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, but I think it will all make more sense when looking at the story overall.

The three idols we've really met so far being nothing like their stage personas is a joke that never gets old for me. (I would actually be disappointed if the other two were not also random weirdos for one reason or another.) Between the high energy vocal performances and the over-the-top comedic visuals, I am just so delighted by this show.

Ah, Oshikatsu, no way better to celebrate one's oshi than celebrating it with said oshi. Utage fortune is her curse really.

Kaito is Mr. Scrooge. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Wednesdays are so great with Saori voicing Kinoshita.

The perfect loading screen? Tamon hauling Kinoshita around after she passes out from an overdose of his overwhelming niceness.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I hate siding with Keito here but he is lowkey right... The two main guys in F/ACE lost because they had this intense rivalry over winning over MC. Keito also said it was okay if Kinoshita had kept things private, but they have multiple times been seen in public and this could create a controversy. We know how serious they are in Japan about opposite sex relationships... Kinoshita could quite literally be the one to end Tamon's career if ever they are caught together.

Kinoshita keeps trying to get the message across to Tamon that she doesn't want that kind of relationship with him, but he does not accept no for an answer. He's truly obsessed. I personally think the right thing to do would be to completely cut Kinoshita out of his life now before it's too late. It's really sad because it's true that she's helped him become a better person, but this is quickly turning into toxic obsession.

It's funny to see all the real personalities of these idols, I'm excited to see what the others are like for the training camp next episode.

Some might ask is it possible for top idols to be poor... the answer is no, at least not while they're active. The scary part is that idol career is short live, probably 10 years or even less, and if the idol failed to transition into something else more stable, then yes, financial crisis is coming for sure.

Fucking hilarious episode oh my goodness. First off, Tamon waiting outside/stalking Utage and then chasing after her while breathing hard af had me dying. His yandere side coming out the last couple episodes has been so fun. He wants her BAD. We also got to see a little of Rintaro’s b side there and he’s just a normal otaku which automatically makes him the most relatable and my fave lol.

Utage showing Tamon around a typical oshikatsu experience was cool actually because Tamon got to see how devoted his fans are! I’m sure idols have some idea from social media, but seeing the lengths idol stans go to just to breathe the same air as their oshi has to be eye opening. Love how he kept trying to cheat the process by giving all of himself to Utage, but what makes these things special is how unobtainable the idol is. If you can just reach out and touch them it doesn’t hit the same lol.

Utage literally evaporating because Tamon is so hot had me dying man I love her sm.

So Tamon’s a socially awkward sweetheart with a possessive streak, Oguri’s a cocky asshole and Keito is a cheapskate who sees his fans as cash cows, lmao. Seeing all these personalities clash makes you wonder how the hell they’re even able to record any music?? This training camp arc is going to be so damn funny. I feel for Utage because she’s gonna have her work cut out for her. Another great ep from AOTS

P.S if you’re in the Ikebukuro area, the entire first floor of animate has Tamon Kun stuff going on rn

i've never been into idol culture or had a favorite idol or anything so admittedly it's really hard to relate to utage cause to me if i found someone attractive and enjoyed their company i would just want to date them LOL but sometimes it's nice to watch something from a different perspective. tamon handing her the rare gacha get was adorable, he was like a little kid with a crush.

So are just not going to address how manipulative Tamon was on the previous episode? Still enjoyed the ep, but I really hope they circle back to this in the future, address it and give it a proper fix, no just forget about it with chill/fun vibes like this episode did :(

Ok ngl thought Keito was going to not show his B side so quickly since he bothered to act normally infront at first but then he quickly revealed himself. I thought he was the manipulative calculating type but while he is it's main just that he's the money guy. He doesn't care about his fans and only cares about the money. Honestly seeing his experience with fans kinda valid? He's not doing anything to his fans besides talking shit about them in private. Kinda sucks but I get how he became like that I guess and what he says are true. They're like the CIA when gathering intel on their oshi.

We also saw Kai or at least who I assume is him as the chattering nonstop otaku nerd but seems it was so different even Kinoshita didn't pick up on it. Kinda got that idea with the OP so makes sense.

Now though for the camp I guess she'll know all of their b sides?

I still got no clue what Natsuki Ishibashi's b side is like? it's literally just pants? He's an exhibitionist or he just doesn't like wearing clothes? He's broke? or something idk how a pair of underwear it seems will translate into his personality. Maybe he's a playboy?

Also I guess that's going to be the end of Tamon being manipulative? Guess not going to talk about that for now at least.

SPOILER WARNING
….

It is him! They hinted at his personality much earlier in the anime tho. In the manga, this scene doesn’t happen until way later since his b-side personality is the very last one to be revealed! I think they just put it here to extend the episode a bit.

Omg I knew it, Kai's a hardcore otaku!!!🤣🤣

Ohh so there's more to Keito's B-Side, he's manipulating fans for their money cuz he's money-obsessed! Looks like he's also into saving cuz of that outdoor garden.

Next is Natsuki, he had boxers in the opening, so my guess is he's actually a slob!🤔

@blackbunshin I haven't read the original, but considering how many lines of dialogue he has, it's immediately clear that he's no ordinary passerby.

Ok Kai might be my stan among the members of F/ACE, I can dig with passionate otakus like him.

I also hope they address the Yandehara side of Tamon since it's something that shouldn't be put off for long, he needs character development ASAP.

Keito despite actually being a money grubbing jerk raises some valid points and I do share his sentiments with a lot of fans that are parasocial. Kinoshita needs to do well in the training camp, both to put Keito in his place and to hopefully get everyone on F/ACE to act cordially... yup seems impossible, both Koreas will be one country before that even happens XD

They kind of hinted at all the B-side personas in the OP.

They show animal symbols for the other four and then they switch and there's:

Underpants | Gorilla | Lucky Cat | Spiral Glasses

Ishibashi Natsuki (Cute, Angry, Tiger with a Bow ??? / Underpants?)
Sakaguchi Ouri (Crying Monkey / Gorilla)
Tachibana Keito (Happy Dog / Lucky Cat)
Kai Rintaro (Stern Bear / Spiral Glasses)

We already knew the Gorilla, so I recognized Spiral Glasses guy immediately.

In this episode we learned about the guy who's obsessed with money (Lucky Cat).

Since they're all opposites of their persona, it makes sense that the large, cool and silent one is really an effusive otaku at heart.

Can't wait to find out what's the deal with "Underpants" guy.

I’m so glad the weirdness mellowed out this episode. Overall this episode was good. Not only do we see more of Keito’s B-side, we also see a glimpse of what I can assume to be Rintaro’s B-side. I’m glad things feel more normal

LOL wait WHAT...the claw-machine otaku was Kai?! I originally thought the dude might have been a disguised Keito and that would be his first interaction with Utage (since the previous ep was going that direction) but then he walked by her and nothing else happened so I figured he was a rando after all but looooool....should've stuck with my gut feeling he was related to the group.

TAMON-KUN WA KAMI
UTA-CHAN WA KAMI

KAAAIIIIIIIII. I'm 99% sure that Kai's B-side is an otaku. It makes sense that Kai's F/ACE persona is someone who is cold and RARELY talks, but Kai's B-side is a hardcore otaku who constantly yaps. peak KAI.

Keito, to be honest, I prefer Keito's B-side over his A-side. I agree with most of what Keito says.

Fujita is the best manager. Finally, Utage got a great opportunity to see more about F/ACE firsthand.
