| damm, that was soon... the production quality short-cuts are already kicking in with ep3. hack n slash animated shots are being replaced with stills adding in limited animations such as gore sprays and guts. big explosions standardized as to shape n size are replacing flying particles like demon parts being mixed into the explosions. the 'shonen blurry backgrounds' are becoming more and more frequent. a pattern of visible hack n slash stripes in patterns upon a black background were used more than once totally covering the frame, replacing the actual weapon impacts and the results of those impacts. the FIRE EFFECTS WERE KICK AZZ THOUGH! especially the finale of the fight with all those blue flames. whew. nice work! i guess they comped the man-hours needed for all those flames with the previous short-cuts in the episode. the tentacle action was good, but if you paid attention? too often the background tentacles are all stills. no squirming, pulsing, quivering movements at all. just the glamour shots of the main-focus in-center frame tentacles were animated. many times the dirt/earth/rock movements were too geometric and the breaks were easily seen as highly regulated and restricted as to randomization of the shapes and motions. when 'the king' got himself out of the 'hanging in the air' by his leg, the camera's frame cuts to just his eyeball... thereby removing the frames of descent animations from 'up in air point 1' to 'final impact point 2' when his sword hits the monster. it was still a wonderful episode! but after the pinnacle shown in eps 1,2... 3 begins (i guess!) the descent into more... reasonable? feats of artistry and animation? maybe? |

His Majesty Norgalle is a true king. He was the hero today. He should be the true ruler of this kingdom.
Tatsuya as well really showed his stuff this episode. It wouldn't have been a surprise if he killed it by himself. If it weren't for the decoy, he would've probably done it with Xylo's help.
This ep Teoritta got a flower that's praise right? Well done.
We also got some of the power system. Luminescence, which I guess you can think of as the mana/energy this series uses?

| @Rexnihilo as to the Luminescence... i think this was a prime-time to illustrate that dynamic in the worldsettings. being caught underground and constantly fighting and defending with their Seals for hours on end and no sunlight to 'recharge' the Seals? good storytelling choices. kinda like the underwater fights etc. in shows/movies that seem to the viewers to 'play out' on-screen longer than a human being can hold their breath. it also shows that the miners were extra brave doing their jobs day to day with protective Seals that had 'limited lifespans' and needed to be 'periodically maintained' in the sunlight outside of the mine and replaced with 'charged up' Seals. |

| Didn't they want to retreat after rescuing the miners? Why were they making a stand instead. Feels like they are forcing everything to end in action to please the modern fandom. Has all the elements really. For me the ending moment was the highlight. Why were they showing the flower so ominously though? Related to the main plot somehow? Btw the nutcase would actually make a great king. A king who values his people above him and fights to protect them. He's likely another victim of conspiract like Xylo. Kivia's slowly gonna learn the truth about Xylo I suppose. She's taken keen interest in him. |

| This show is like a movie every week. It's a treat to watch. There are no cookie cutter one note characters here. Nogalle is insane but god damn I'd follow him. |
