| Probably a mixture of character development and a more engaging premise, if you ask me. When the characters are more matured into their roles everything just gels better. So far, StrikerS seems to be pretty much as good as A's. I haven't seen the movie though, so no idea there. |
| Frankly, the whole thing was a bit of a strange take on the genre. Probably why I actually enjoyed it (the genre usually irks me). It really does feel a lot more at ease in StrikerS than it did with the characters as 9 year olds. Maybe that's just me though. |

| If there's one thing I've learnt about the Japanese from anime, it's that they think quite differently to how we Westerners do. It's perfectly possible that there's a totally different reason for the whole naked transformation thing that we might not understand really. Maybe it's something about replacing one's normal clothing with the magical armour, and it's meant to be some sort of total transformation from their natural state. Or, maybe they're a nation of pedos and really weird children. EDIT: |

| Torrent takes forever, so I started streaming StrikerS. Only one I could find was Megavideo. I'd actually forgotten when I hated Megavideo. 4 episoders later.... DAMN IT. EDIT: I did actually find a stream for the first season a few weeks back, but I prefer to watch stuff on my Macbook so I ended up torrenting them. I'll see if I can find the site in my history. Oh yeah, would now be a bad time to mention I tend to mostly watch dubs? (Unless they are horrid, I do have some standards). |

I PM'd Irond Will but received no response, and I don't expect a response anytime soon either. There were no open discussions about the anime thread in the mod forum, so either Irond Will talked it over via a different messaging system or he decided to drop the hammer all by himself. You don't see that level of hate for any other fanbase, such as the Valkyria Chronicles thread back when everyone had VC avatars. | Well, since he's such a douche when it comes to anime, it'll have to be a sideways approach. If we make a new anime thread with "stricter guidelines" or whatever, he needs to be convinced that it'll be enough that he basically has no reason to deny it without being totally unreasonable. And if he is, then I guess it's time to ask other mods. I'd write something up- I'm used to this shit- but I'm far too new a poster to want to send something to a mod as anal as he seems to be. |
