Mine's 1 > 3 > 2.

The first season felt so fresh, so unique; the distinct atmosphere of Neo Venezia spellbound me at the direst of times: when I was inundated with projects, labs, essays, and midterms right before a holiday break.

Natural could have been my favorite season, if it wasn't for its murky middle (eps 5 through 19). Although the thing about Aria is, whenever you actually get to a good episode, it really makes you forgive and forget the ones you disliked.

The magic came back in the third season, though. Origination also seemed to be the most stable in terms of episode quality; each episode was superb.

Cat Sith moments were the best > The last episode and last few minutes of episode 12 of origination turned a lot of things around for me, but not enough to be number #1 > Couldn't compare to the other two seasons

Edit: 3 > 2 > 1
Origination.. kept re-watching episode 12 and 13 so many times, so addicting xD. I really don't want this to end :[.

"Origination" is simply perfect. The story ended as it had to end. In case of Aria the final part is the best part of the story (not because the story was bad, but because such a culmination and such a dénouement were something I was waiting from the begining).

"Animation" created inimitable atmosphere of Aria. It has had some really great episodes (

) and had no poor ones.

"Natural" is fine too, but simultaneously with interesting ones (

and later episodes) it has some weak episodes (nearly all first half of the season). And "Natural" is quite too long (cutting away about half of episodes would have been really good)

You could say I wasn't really prepared for the first season, but then the first season prepared for me for the second, which helped me enjoy it better. Nothing could prepare me for season 3; I was blown away.
