Tick Tank Weaponry: 90mm APDS cannon Armour: Light tank plating Type: Main Battle Tank ![]() The Tick tank (nicknamed "The Mole") was a light tank roughly equivalent in their battlefield role to the Titan. It looked similiar to the Black Hand light tank its design was based on, with the exception that it had a burrowing tool mounted on it's front and the turret was mounted on rails. Its crucial ability was burrowing, as it could dig into the ground assuming a vertical position, leaving only the turret and rear part visible, providing cover and protection. During the burrowing phases, the tank was defenseless, but that was a minor flaw, as the process was quick enough to avoid serious damage. The main cannon was a relatively small caliber APDS with an explosive shell. This was enough to penetrate and damage armor of GDI walkers. However, it was less effective against infantry, as they could take cover from the shrapnel and explosions. The tank had several drawbacks. It couldn't burrow on certain terrain types due to the tool not able to pierce the soil, and it had no anti-aircraft defense. It was widely used by the Brotherhood of Nod, both in its deployed and undeployed state. As makeshift turrets, they were commonly placed at key choke points in defense of critical installations, such as the medical colony where Tratos was being held or its radar array. They were also used to protect advanced artillery units, who were defenseless at short ranges. GDI used a variety of counters, ranging from simply attacking from outside the tank's range with Juggernauts or Mammoth Mk. IIs (when available), to airstrikes carried out by Orca Bombers and Orca Fighters, to simply using aggressive assaults with massed Titan formations or light infantry and disc throwers to overwhelm the static defenses. The Tick Tank was superceded by the Scorpion Tank after the Second Tiberium War.

Attack Cycle Weaponry: Missile launchers Armour: Light Type: Anti-Armour Recon ![]() The Attack cycle was a development of the Recon Bike which optimized it for the Second Tiberium War. Like its predecessor, it incorporated a missile launcher, but could only fire missiles two at a time. Also like its predecessor, it was extremely fast but had very little armour. Its turning rate was much faster than the previous Nod recon bike and its manoeuvrability was also much higher. These changes made its primary usage more apparent - as a scouting unit, and as light firepower against hopefully even lighter enemy targets. Unfortunately, their lack of any armour meant that they were not highly effective in prolonged combat situations. They were succeeded by modified Attack Bikes in the Third Tiberium War.

Attack Buggy Weaponry: Raider cannon Armour: Light Type: Anti-infantry Recon ![]() The attack buggy is a small unit used by Nod for reconnaissance missions and against infantry. It had roughly equivalent armament and slightly greater speed than the GDI Wolverine, and more armor. As an evolution of the Nod buggy that was found in the previous war, it continued to fulfill the same tasks. It was one of the few wheeled vehicles used during the Second Tiberium War. It was succeeded by the Raider buggy.

Mobile Repair Vehicle Weaponry: N/A Armour: Light Type: Support Unit [IMAGE N/A] Needing to find a way to make their light vehicles last longer in the field, Nod research divisons developed the Mobile repair vehicle before the Second Tiberium War to replace the older service depots. It proved a success, allowing any Nod vehicles that survived a battle to be ready for another battle in minutes through the use of advanced robotic repair technology. The speed of repairs was so phenomenal that one could noticeably increase the survival time of any given vehicle. MRVs were, however, expensive, costing more than a tick tank, or even an advanced artillery piece. It was also slow, poorly armored, and completely unarmed, so alone or without sufficient support, they could be quickly eliminated. Even with sufficient support, it was often necessary to hold repair vehicles behind the lines. They were effective but not available as a separate vehicle later on.

Tiberium Harvester Weaponry: Harvesting Grinders Armour: Heavy Type: Support Unit As the need to harvest Tiberium in more remote regions became apparent, the harvester design was overhauled, and in 2030 both sides used multi-wheel truck platform with advanced grabbers to pick Tiberium. The truck was sturdier and more boxy, with an easy detachable container mounted on it.

Artillery Weaponry: Siege cannon Armour: Light Type: Artillery ![]() In the Second Tiberium War, Nod significantly increased the range and power of the orginal M110 and G6 artillery, allowing it to be used as a true base siege weapon. It now was a heavy deployable artillery platform used for assaulting or defending large bases, provided that they have covering fire. However, it now had to be deployed in order for it to be used, and while moving and undeployed was vulnerable. Due to its expense and lack of armor, it was capable of being effectively countered by Orca Bombers and most vehicles, including Titan Walkers. Nod commanders and Cabal used Artillery extensively to shell enemy bases, eliminate enemy patrols, defend mountain passes, and protect important bases. This was possible because of the artillery's extremely long range. They were superseded by the beam cannons and Specter stealth artillery for increased mobility and offensive support.

Mobile Sensor Array Weaponry: N/A Armour: Light Type: Support Unit ![]() Mobile Sensor Arrays were used by GDI and Nod in the Second Tiberium War. Their primary purpose was detecting cloaked and subterranean units and buildings as well as approaching enemy units. In order to be used the MSA had to be deployed. This was necessary because the highly sensitive microphones and scanner arrays were otherwise distracted by the vehicles' own vibration and motor noise. GDI commanders used these units to early detect incoming Nod surprise attacks. Also it was valuable for assaults on cloaked bases. Nod commanders on the other hand used the MSA to detect either enemy Nod commanders, mostly during the Nod Civil War. In addition to that, Limpet Drones could be uncovered and destroyed to prevent infiltration. Eventually they were replaced with more modern sensors, based on lighter, combat-worthy scouting units.

Limpet Drone Weaponry: N/A Armour: N/A Type: Stealth intelligence-gathering Drone ![]() A limpet drone was an interesting piece of technology that both GDI and Nod developed shortly before the Firestorm Crisis. It was basically a stealthed mine, used for spying on enemy bases. It incorporated both GDI and Nod technology. While undeployed it could hover and cross bodies of water as well as difficult terrain types. While deployed it could burrow into the ground and turn on a personal cloaking device. Any enemy vehicle that passed over it would be hit with the mine, and the mine would attach to the vehicle. Mines could only be removed through repairing the unit, either with a service depot or a mobile repair vehicle. Of course, destroying the unit in question would also destroy the mine. While attached, the mine leeched power from the targeted unit's electrical systems, slowing it to a crawl, and provided sight for its owner. This was a favored tactic for scouting out Nod stealth bases. Limpet drones were used at least once during the Firestorm Crisis, as Nod deployed a half dozen of them during their assassination attempt of Tratos. They were instrumental in getting reconnaissance behind enemy lines, and a limpet drone eventually revealed the location of Tratos inside the GDI fortress, so that a Nod force could then assassinate him. Sometimes, certain commanders would use the deployed stealthed state of the limpet drone to spy on enemy movement or bases. With the refinement of sensors and scout units, as well as increasing electronic countermeasures, the limpet drone eventually fell out of use. GDI, for example, replaced them with more powerful, immobile sensor pods.

Stealth Tank Weaponry: Two rocket pods Armour: Adaptive camouflage Type: Recon/Support tank ![]() Stealth Tanks are Nod tracked missile carriers that are equipped with a stealth generator. The Brotherhood used stealth tanks throughout all three Tiberium Wars in a variety of capacities, notably surprise attacks, sensitive reconnaissance missions, and as a mobile anti-aircraft defense. Unfortunately, as stealth tanks mount both missile launchers and a stealth generator onto a tank frame, to avoid sacrificing speed or increasing costs beyond any reasonable limit, stealth tanks across all generations are lightly armored. GDI researched the stealth tank properties, as part of project A2411.5. It would appear that these may be based off of the Phase transport, an experimental Allied vehicle that was hijacked by the Soviet super-soldier Volkov and disappeared after the end of the Great World War II. During the First Tiberium War Nod developed it's first stealth tank prototypes which Kane called "Ezekiel's Wheel". When the tank fired its twin Dragon TOW missiles it would have to briefly deactivate it's camouflage; as the cloaking system was incapable of recalculating the changing characteristics of the launchers during firing. Between the first two Tiberium wars, Nod improved the technology of the Stealth Tank, making it more agile and increasing its armor. However, Nod scientists still were unable to reduce the stealth generator's huge power consumption, which still necessitated the deactivation of the cloak during firing. In addition, when it came in range of a Mobile Sensor Array, the mobile sensor array could detect the vehicles despite the cloaking, rendering the camouflage of the stealth tank useless. This had lethal consequences if intelligence failed to report the presence of a mobile sensor array before assault. Following the rise of Marcion, the Black Hand had reformed their combat doctrines to match that of their new leader. Stealth was considered unpure by Marcion's beliefs, and the stealth tank was removed from service. However, this left a critical gap in the Black Hand's defense, which resulted in the development of the Mantis. By the Third Tiberium War, Nod redesigned the tank, removing the fourth tread and streamlining the design, as well as overhauling the missile launchers. The new tank moves on three articulated treads, has an aerodynamic profile and much improved stealth generator. The missile launchers are now fitted over the pilot's cockpit and are capable of discharging deadly volleys of guided missiles, numbering up to 16 rockets per volley. The new generator is much more advanced and is capable of reactivating the stealth bubble almost instantly after the tank has fired its volley, making the tank even more deadly and hard to locate than before. At close ranges, any unit with adequate sensors can locate a stealth tank; though these units, such as the CC-6 Pitbull, are usually fragile, they can prove deadly to the stealth tanks if escorted by units with heavy firepower.

Subterranean Flame Tank - Devil's Tongue Weaponry: Flamethrower Armour: Light Type: Support tank ![]() After the First Tiberium War, Nod commanders reviewed the performance of the Flame Tank, which often had to face GDI armor before it could reach its objective, and in these cases it often could not make it to its destination. To eliminate the danger of encountering enemy armour, an underground version of the tank was developed. The Subterranean Flame Tank, like its predecessor also known as Devil's Tongue, was a boxy vehicle with two giant horizontal drills located on its front and treads wrapped around the profile of the vehicle. Tanks containing pressurized napalm were completely enclosed within the vehicle, as were the powerful engines required to move it underground. However, the compact design has forced Nod technicians to discard all but the lightest armour plating, rendering it vulnerable to all anti-tank weaponry. The design worked perfectly, the tank was fast and its twin side-mounted flamethrowers were highly damaging against enemy structures and infantry. Its tunneling abilities have proven to be indispensable assets to the Brotherhood's war effort and GDI infantry soon learnt a new meaning of the word "fear". The tank's design was effective, but a technological dead-end, as there was little room for improvement or overhaul, as the tank itself would have to be redesigned. As such, Nod engineers have discarded the vehicle, developing an advanced version of the classic Flame Tank, the Advanced Flame Tank, in its place.

Subterranean APC Weaponry: N/A Armour: Heavy Type: Personnel carrier ![]() Subterranean APCs were heavy assault personnel carriers used by the Brotherhood of Nod that would tunnel into the ground to reach far away locations. These APC's were usually used for sneak attacks into bases and to allow infantry to avoid tiberium during transport. Subterannean APCs were equipped with heavy drills that allowed them to move beneath the surface of the earth. This allowed it to bypass enemy defenses and fortifications, ambush enemies and avoid tiberium that would pose a risk to the health of the solders inside. In keeping with Nod tactics, the vehicle could not be seen as it was underground. However, the Mobile Sensor Array was able to detect such vehicles as they traveled below ground. In the years between the Second and Third Tiberium Wars, Subterranean APCs were decommissioned by Nod. New Reckoner APCs replaced the Subterranean APC in the role of a personnel carrier.

MCV - Mobile Construction Vehicle Weaponry: N/A Armour: Light/Medium (The MCV relies on the amount of life when it comes to damage taking) Type: Mobile HeadQuarters/Base Core ![]() A Mobile Construction Vehicle (commonly abbreviated MCV) is a non-combat unit that is used to create structures. When deployed on the battlefield this vehicle transforms into the Construction Yard. Under any situation which required the construction of a new base, GDI and Nod commanders were normally supplied with either a Mobile Construction Vehicle or a Construction Yard, and typically the former. This meant that GDI commanders frequently became familiar with its usage. As a slow, and very expensive unit, it was necessary to protect it. Additionally, the Construction Yard's location was critically important as it needed to be protected, and near Tiberium fields.

Cyborg Reaper Weaponry: Multiple Missle Launcher, Anti-personel Nets Armour: Light Type: Multipurpose Cyborg ![]() The Reaper was a four legged spider-like walker, which was affixed to a significantly mutated human in the center of the unit's torso. It was armed with a pair of multiple missile launchers that were effective against slow moving enemy vehicles and aircraft. These missile launchers fired a barrage of four missiles, which, though independently targeting and possessing reasonable firepower, had poor tracking capabilities and moved relatively slowly. The missiles had a hard time tracking fast moving vehicles, and often missed. Its main role was engaging infantry. The Reaper used a net launcher to stop them in their tracks. The nets were laced with a highly sticky substance, making it difficult for infantry to get out of them. While they were incapacitated, regular cyborgs would disarm and haul away the unfortunate soldiers to be converted into Cyborgs, or simply kill soldiers considered too dangerous or too weak to make proper cyborgs. Prior to the Firestorm Crisis, the Reaper were largely rumored, with blurred reconnaissance images being the only proof of their existence. GDI InOps believed the photographs were doctored or were just images of a new Tiberium Lifeform. When CABAL broke from The Brotherhood of Nod, he knew that his best chance of victory was to build up an enormous army of cyborgs that had been programmed to be loyal only to him. To do this, he first devised a way to convert captured enemy soldiers into cyborgs. Then, it was simply a matter of capturing enemy soldiers. To accomplish this, he relied on the Reapers. Reapers were used in most of CABAL's campaigns, and were often combined with cyborgs. As deadly against infantry as the cyborgs' guns were, they were even more deadly when used against an ensnared enemy who could neither dodge, nor shoot back. Their quickness and ability to heal very quickly in Tiberium meant that they were both effective Tiberium field guards, and powerful skirmish and patrol units. After the Firestorm Incident, Nod ceased using the Reapers due to their experiences with CABAL.

MSG - Mobile Stealth Generator Weaponry: N/A Armour: Light Type: Support vehicle ![]() The Nod mobile stealth generator was an adaptation of Nod's standard Stealth generator technology. In the short time between the end of the Second Tiberium War and the beginning of the Firestorm Crisis, Nod managed to adapt the Stealth generator technology to a mobile platform, eventually creating a self powered unit. Unfortunately, the unit could not move and deploy its stealth system at the same time, because of power and stability issues, as well as problems with calculating the light involved. However the mobile stealth generator was still a powerful tool for cloaking Nod units. Although devoid of weapons, it was still incredibly valuable to any Nod commander. It allowed a commander to keep units invisible for a sneak attack upon an enemy's base. With two or more units of this kind, it was possible to leap frog with an attack force, sending them from one to another with an overlapping field. As it did not have to be hooked up to another building so as to have power, the vehicle could be utilized to hide other valuable assets, such as a squadron of Artillery units. It was advisable to keep an escort with the generators, as they were fragile, took time to undeploy and flee, were slow, and had no weapons. Also, GDI's Mobile sensor array would reveal the device, rendering it vulnerable to counterattacks. When commander Slavik needed an EVA unit to organize his forces after the betrayal of CABAL he used a handful of Mobile Stealth Generators to cloak his forces from GDI's heavy air force in the area. This allowed his forces to suddenly appear near civilian targets and attack drawing the air forces away from the GDI base so other Nod forces could infiltrate the radar where the EVA unit was transmitting from. CABAL used these at least once to attempt to cloak his forces, such as his artillery, while they shelled a GDI base during the Firestorm Crisis. The vehicle was decomissioned following the development of more and more advanced optic camouflage technologies.

Weed Eater Weaponry: N/A Armour: Medium Type: Support ![]() Weed Eaters were a specialized variant of Harvester developed by Nod during the Second Tiberium War. Essentially a lightweight combine harvester on a tracked chassis, it was designed for collecting veins from Veinholes and delivering them to the Tiberium Waste Facility for processing and refinement into payloads for Nod Chemical missiles. It was also specially designed so that the weeds would not attack and engulf the Weed Eater as it was acquiring additional veins.

Fist of NOD Weaponry: N/A Armour: Medium Type: Deployable Structure ![]() The Fist of Nod was Nod's answer to GDI's Mobile War Factory and introduced during the Firestorm Crisis. The name of the building is a play off the Hand of Nod, although the Fist does not consturct infantry. It was deployed by Nod commanders in order to be able to produce units close to the front line, possibly under the cover of a mobile stealth generator. The downsides of this technological achievement was however that because it had to carry all production materials for all other vehicles, it was very heavy and could only move slowly, although interestingly, it was cheaper than a regular war factory and required less power. Also, the Fist of Nod did not have any weapon and if left unprotected it was an easy target for enemy forces, despite its heavy armor. When deployed, things were different. The Fist of Nod could produce any Nod Vehicle that required a tech center or lower to produce, including Stealth Tanks and Subterranean APCs. This reflects its namesake: the mobile factory produces Nod's weapons closer to the enemy, like throwing a fist at them. Therefore, it could not produce another Fist of Nod. Once deployed, it could not be repaired by conventional ways (with the exception of the Mobile Repair Vehicle) - but it could be captured by an engineer. Also, unlike the MCV, a deployed Fist of Nod could redeploy and move somewhere else. A Fist of Nod, which was equipped with a massive amount of raw materials, almost single handedly constructed the army which destroyed CABAL's harvesting operations during the Firestorm Crisis. However, Nod forces considered the building to be cost-ineffective and phased it out.
