| O_O OMG... I just made the ultimate comeback today. Racetrack: GBA Beach Track (Forgot the name, sorry. It's the one with all the crabs) # of racers: 7 It's right before the end of the second lap and I'm giant with a super mushroom in my little item square in the corner of the screen while I'm in 5th. A guy with a star is right behind me and gaining on me. Crap! But right before he hits me his star runs out. *phew* Then, a bullet bill comes and hits me! I lose my super mushroom, I'm normal size again, and I'm WAY in last on the final lap. COMEBACK TIME! In the beginning of the final lap, someone fell off the level, so now I'm in 6th. I get to the first group of item boxes and get a star. Then, I go through the water while using the star to get the item box in the small island with the lone crab. I receive 3 mushroom, and, while I'm still in star mode, the guy in last uses lightning! YES!! I passed about 2 or 3 people before I used up all 3 mushrooms at once so I could get a better item from one of the boxes on the really small islands. By the time my star runs out, I'm in second, the item box I took gave me a super mushroom (YAY!), and the person in first is ten seconds away from the finish line using the dolphin dasher (giving her the advantage w/ offroad stats). BOOOST!!! Five seconds before the finish line and I've passed the person who USED to be in first, but, OH NO, a spike shell is right behind me! I'm only 1 second away from the finish line! AAAGH!!! I'm still using the super mushroom, going by the umbrella before the finish line, and the spike explodes. BOOM! THE SPIKE SHELL HITS THE UMBRELLA INSTEAD OF ME AND I JUST BARELY WIN!!! OMFG!!!! O.O How did I do that?! I went crazy after that, screaming "I did NOT just do that!" XD |
