Saki. Deserves a lot more than 7.6, it's just so good, ended up watching the whole season in one day and reading the manga the next day :x

First I wasn't sure whether I should watch it or not because...It's about mahjong and what the hell, how could mahjong be interesting? But then they did such an amazing job with making it entertaining, turning mahjong into some sort of supernatural battle game.

The plot was nothing special, yet it's one of those plots that I'd always enjoy no matter how many times I've seen it.

I loved the characters. And there're so many, making sure that everyone will find someone he/she will like. (Hell, not just one, all the characters are so good~)

The art is amazing, but then again it's just personal preferance. And wow, look at all those amazing voice actors, Kugumiya Rie, Itou Shizuka, is this heaven?

The only thing I didn't like about the anime was the silly openings and endings. But still, I enjoyed every minute and I'll probably re-watch it soon :3

Errr...I'll just list some stuff from the anime, so don't read the spoiler if you're going to watch the anime. In short, some of the characters have unique and quite inhuman skills, making the whole thing awesome.Other than that they put all sorts of flashy animations and effects into the mahjong matches.
Too lazy to look for pictures from the anime but it's pretty much the same as it is in the manga.

Lol, the fuck? this anime seems quite random, I think I might actually take a look... Wow I've actually learnt something today

Also, I find that the MAL scoring system is broken, as the scores are more based on how well the anime is known and less on how good the actual anime is!

Zombie Loan started pretty normal for me, and got better as i went. Then i forgot that there were only 12 episodes and it finished with the worst cliff hanger in the world.

Well I haven't seen enough anime to fully figure out which ones should get more attention. Some choices include Dragon Half and Gunsmith Cats. Again I haven't seen enough to fully figure it out but these are some of my personal choices, and those choices may change over time.

Very underrated anime film Sea Prince and the Fire Child. Highly recommend to any a fan of older animation. It was marketed as the Japanese counterpart of The Little Mermaid, but far surpassed it in what it presented. Story is kind of like a Romeo x Juliet feel. It covers themes such as romance, segregation and making sacrifices to keep peace and balance. I won't lie, the art style is aged, but the color scheme is still top notch. The English dub is solid as well. I'd give it 9.5/10.

it looks fairly interesting, i'll try it. :3
Plus, the art style reminds me slightly of the art from Ponyo. (And Ponyo is a classic from my childhood.)

Which brings me to the fact that Ponyo is underrated. i mean, it's pretty well liked and popular, but it's not what you think about when you hear Studio Ghibli. You think of Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle. Maybe the somethingsomething about Princess Nausicaa and Kiki's Delivery Service.

It could be just me, but I think that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Kai is an underrated series. I personally don't know anyone who has watched the series, read the manga, or played the sound novels (then again, I've never played them either. I want to though!). I thought it was a great series! I never understood why it didn't get the recognition it deserved.

Other titles that come to mind would be Welcome to the N.H.K., Serial Experiments: Lain, Shiki, and Ergo Proxy.

well, i wouldn't say they're overrated. they're pretty popular. Even if you like it, that just mean its true to its ratings and fanbase. if you DiDNT like it, that would make it overrated.

i happen to not care very much for any of them, although i actually liked Higurashi a bit. (but i cant get over the parts with maggots; i have a severe case of bugaphobia, wormaphobia, butterfliaphobia, and tinycreepycrawlieaphobia.)

Fairly true. That's why whats overrated and underrated can get a bit confusing, but this club is for persuading people WHY you think what a certain anime is.

Anyway, none of my so-called friends even watch anime or manga. They know only of popular titles like Naruto and Dragon Ball Z, but thats it. Some of them read crappy shoujos, but they're beyond caring for.

These are three very underrated anime TV series from the 2000's: Senkou no Night Raid, Canaan and Michiko to Hatchin. Great stories, exciting adventures, outstanding BGM, amazing visuals, and still they are very underrated.

I think that "Problem Children", "Katanagatari" and "Sasami-san@Ganbaranai" are really underrated. Both of them have really good plots and such, but it just gets overshadowed by the overrated ones.

Another I think was "Bakemonogatari", but that's appreciated now, I remember the time that it was so underrated. Then the rest of the series came out, then everyone started watching it, etc. etc.
