| First match against Juve, second against Real. *sigh* When the time comes and Zenit will face BATE, most likely, they'll be demoralized so much that even the weakest club in the CL 2008/09 (with all my respect to Belarusian club, it's true) won't become an easy prey. On the other hand BATE will play against same opponents. It would be more interesting to see them in Group F or even A, but at least Zenit won't play in Group C (Or D, E and G), so I'm somewhat happy. |

| BATE somehow managed to defeat my favorite team-Levski Sofia. So I really hope that Real, Juve and Zenit will crush this damn team... I think Group H is the most interesting group. Can't wait to watch Real v Juve.Last time they played I think it was a 1/4 Final and Juve won 3-1.So I hope this time we can beat them. Also I think Liverpool will qualify, and Atlético Madrid will be second.Hopefully we can get to the final. We have some really good memories there so why not win there again lol |

| Definitely Group D is The Group of Death.Real, Juve and Zenit all have the chance to qualify so it will be great to watch those games. |

| Group D is a tough one, I can't argue with it but also I have to agree with lifve, "Group G is the hell one". Arsenal & Porto may look like favorites, but does anyone remember first knockout round of the 2007–08 CL, matches Fenerbahçe vs Sevilla? I do. And perhaps Dynamo Kyiv will show their best. For a change. Maybe. |

| I doubt Dynamo Kyiv will make something in this group. No disrespect to the team.It has a great history but this team is nothing compared to the team the had just a few years ago.So I think the battle in this group will be between Arsenal Porto and Fenerbahçe.Even I think Arsenal and Fenerbahçe will qualify and Porto will play for UEFA Cup. |

| Group D seems pretty interesting....Group H too, since Zenit played Man Unit from the field last night. But i guess Inter can count them selfs in the next round already....I mean honestly I'm sure that we'll see groups in the UEFA cup who are tougher then that. |

| I feel like I live in Siberia. In a deep DEEP forest. There will be no live online TV telecast CL match Juventus : Zenit. Only one channel will show it online, but neither me, neither thousands Zenit fans have it. And I have to watch online match Dinamo Kiev : Arsenal. Oh Eru, to live in this *censured* country and not being able to watch the match of my favorite russian club online. Russian television is *censured*. Marseille 1-2 Liverpool Cana 23 Gerrard 26, 32(pen) lifve said: Zatoichi said: Liquid said: OMG Gerrard's goal was just :O agree, his goal really amazing. Words aren't enough to describe my admiration for this goal (or am I too lazy to put it in words?). Agree too, that was really superb. Marseille played very week in the first half but in the second they've played way better, and it's a pity that they've lost. The draw would be a fair result (Liverpool fans, no offense ;) ). Chelsea 4-0 Bordeaux Lampard 14, J. Cole 30, Malouda 82, Anelka 90+ 2 It wasn't the best Chelsea game. Deco clearly wasn't his usual self. They've played at ~60% (if not less) of their capacity. 5 offsides (even without Drogba). :P It's just Bordeaux haven't played at all (0 shots on goal. Against Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge. What they were aiming for?! 0:0 draw, maybe?). Cech was supposed to fall asleep during this match. But! Lampard played very well, scored the first Chelsea goal and made a brilliant and clever back heel pass for Malouda. I'm absolutely agree with soccer fans (at uefa.com): Lampard - Man of the Match. ^^ PSV 0-3 Atlético Agüero 9, 36, Maniche 54 Poor Isaksson. | So disappointing to see Fiorentina screw up once again. They have been incredibly unlucky, but like Zenit they have seen how harsh the champions league is. Winning 2-0 away against Lyon until the French side showed how much little class they have Draw to Steaua at home Lose to Bayern 3-0 even though they had some great chances Beating Bayern 1-0, owning first 20 mins second half and should've scored more. But somehow collapsed and were lucky to even get a point in the end. It has been an interesting journey for Fiorentina despite their shortcomings, they are a young team and will learn from this. Also to finish my post i will say this DEL PIERO IS THE GREATEST |

| Yeah, man that Fiorentina team is unbelievably young, but there is no doubting they have great potential. But i think maybe they have to try out new formations to bring out the best from their players. Montolivo is a player with tremendous quality, but he is stuck out on a right wing/central midfield position where he can't really influence the game. You have no wingers, and the ones you do are not up to champions league standard. I was a fan of Santana a while back, but since that nasty back injury he got in 2006 he hasn't looked the same. But still every team needs wingers to give them width and so do you guys. Though right now you have a ton of great central players, but none who are great wingers or who can carry the ball by themselves. Guess i'm going on a bit much without purpose, but i think this Fiorentina team has a lot of talent.... but i think there are limitations to your side considering the type of players you have. I think right now the best formation you guys can play is the same 4-3-2-1 formation as Milan and put Mutu,Montolivo behind Gilardino. Btw your a Real Madrid and Fiorentina fan ? Oh, and Del Piero is phenomenal the ball goes wherever he wants it to. |

| Two more months without Champions League... It's too early to make any predictions, so I'll keep my opinions to myself for now. ^^ But there's one thing I want to say now. In my opinion Arsenal and Roma are one of the most interesting matchups. Dying Swan vs Dying Swan (thought Roma has improved a bit lately). I hope that Arsenal will sign some good players in the upcoming transfer window. Otherwise even Roma will defeat them pretty easily. Arsenal's two matches against Dynamo Kyiv were a nightmare. If Dinamo players were more serious in the last match, Arsenal could end up in third place. HockeyKamen said: It'll be interesting to see how ManU will fare against AC Milan now that they have Jose Mourinho coaching them and how far his former squad(Chelsea) will go as they face Juve. ^^; I suppose you meant Inter (F.C. | All right, I'll be posting here then. Restating my point from before, do you think Liverpool stands a chance at going on to the semi-finals? They'd need to score more than three goals and win by at least two goal difference. I think it's going to be a very good game, so will be looking forward to that one. |

Sorry for the triviality, in football everything is possible, so yes, I think, they have a chance and we all remember Istanbul 2005. But for one reason or another, I have a strong feeling it'll be different this time. First, it can't guarantee a victory, but am I wrong or in all European games at Stamford Bridge Chelsea have lost 3 times only and the last lost home Champions League game took a place more than 3 years ago? It was a first knockout round and Chelsea have lost to Barcelona (1:2; and we can't belittle the importance of the red card shown to Asier del Horno in the first half (it couldn't play a key role in the game, but still)). Second, the results of the first match are encouraging (and relaxing at the same time, it can help Liverpool, but I doubt Chelsea will be SO relaxed that will concede 3 goals in such an important match), the way it started off, I guess, only some extremely optimistical hard core Chelsea fans could predict this outcome. The first 30 minutes Chelsea performance wasn't as you’d expect from them (ball possession almost made me cry, 65:35% or something like that) and yet, they won. Third, Guus Hiddink. And fourth, I'm rooting for Chelsea and may be biased, but I believe that Chelsea deserve to be in the Semi-Final. 1:3 at Anfield against Liverpool (and they had a really good start to the game), it's something! Anyway, may the strongest win. ^_~V georgi said: All right, I'll be posting here then. Thanks! |

| Chelsea allowed Liverpool too much freedom. One goalkeepers' mistake, one unnecessary penalty. 0:2 at the end of the first half. This is a great example of how players should NEVER play a match. EDIT: Defence? What does it mean? 4:4. I Love This Game. |

| The chances are 50/50 or close to it (though, I'd still say the chances are better for MU). For some reason I have a feeling that we won't see a goal-fest. But my wildly pessimistic predictions are often wrong, so maybe it'll be a fantastic match and many goals will be scored. Actually, I don't mind a thrilling match with no goals, but overtime and followed penalties... I hope, my prayers will be heard and 90 minutes will decide the Champion. None of my favorite has made it to the finals, Barcelona's win over Chelsea wasn't impressive (it was just shocking), so: MU FTW! |

| I'd prefer Bayern to face Juve in the final, but I wouldn't mind to see Real reaching the final too. The least desirable outcome for me is a second all-Spanish final in a row and given that Champions League hardly ever goes the way I want it to, that's what will happen, I guess. |
