And the Saturday late game

Arsenal 1-2 Hull City
Paul McShane og 51
Geovanni (2) 62; Daniel Cousin (1) 66

Arsenal's inability to defend corners comes back to haunt them. Hull have now matched Derby County's point total for all of last season, and move up to 6th. Arsenal move down to 4th behind Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa in that order.

That's a real shocker.Honestly I didn't expect that score.Arsenal missed quite a lot of chances so I guess it's a reasonable score...

Yes pompey beat Tottenham 2-0!! Defoe and Crouch!.
The Spurs are so gonna get relegated this season mwahh, they might make a record 'better' than Derby.

Sunday's Results:

Portsmouth 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Jermain Defoe (4) pen 34; Peter Crouch (2) 68

Only Spurs can turn a defense that had conceded 10 goals in a week into an effective unit.

Wigan Athletic 2-1 Manchester City
Antonio Valencia (2) 16; Amr Zaki (5) pen 34
Vincent Kompany (1) 22

Amr Zaki continues to show that he was an inspired loan signing for Wigan (as well as contributing vital points for my fantasy team). City, on the other hand, had 2 penalty decisions go against them and probably should have gotten a result here.

Today's Results:

West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Fulham
Roman Bednar (3) 61

Sunderland 1-1 Arsenal
Grant Leadbitter (1) 86
Cesc Fabregas (1) 90

Wigan Athletic 0-1 Middlesbrough
Jeremie Aliadiere (1) 89

Pretty boring round of matches until the last 5 minutes, I would expect the late game to be about the same. Arsenal continue to struggle against the smaller sides, and any potential title challenge may be fading fast if their run in the league doesn't stop soon.

Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Manchester United
Wes Brown (1) 30; Wayne Rooney (2) 64

Pretty predictable result even though it was only United's 2nd win in their last 9 at Blackburn.

Six games today, 2 probably worth watching:

West Ham United 1-3 Bolton Wanderers
Carlton Cole (3) 69
Kevin Davies (4) 30; Gary Cahill (1) 34; Matthew Taylor (1) 86

Which West Ham team will show up when, and will their performances start to mirror the Icelandic economy? I should have had Davies starting on my fantasy team.

Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Hull City
Geovanni (3) 9

Modric with a miss of the season, Geovanni scoring a goal better than the one he scored at Arsenal, Spurs fans cringing at their worst start to a season since 1912, and visiting fans loving the return of trips to Three Point Lane.

Manchester City 2-3 Liverpool
Stephen Ireland (2) 19; Javier Garrido (1) 41
Fernando Torres (4,5) 55, 70; Dirk Kuyt (1) 90

With comebacks like this, could it possibly and finally be Liverpool's year? Dirk Kuyt with his first league goal in probably a year takes the points at the death. They will have to deal with a long term horrific injury to Martin Skrtel, though.

Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa
Joe Cole (2) 23; Nicolas Anelka (4) 44

Chelsea win again, probably should have been by 6 or 7 goals. They continue at the top of the table.

Portsmouth 2-1 Stoke City
Peter Crouch (3) 25; Jermain Defoe (5) 51
Ricardo Fuller (3) 48

The big-small man partnership continues to work against the smaller teams in the league. Stoke stay in the relegation zone, and probably will for the duration.

Everton 2-2 Newcastle United
Mikel Arteta (2) pen 19; Marouane Felliani (1) 34
Steven Taylor (1) 45; Damien Duff (1) 47

Sunday's Results:

Hull City 1-0 West Ham United
Michael Turner (2) 51'

Hull continue in their most unlikely of runs and notch their fourth consecutive win against clubs based in London.

Stoke City 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Danny Higginbotham (1) pen 19'; Rory Delap (1) 53'
Darren Bent (3) 25'

Stoke get their second win with a winner by throw in king Delap. This is now Spurs worst ever start to a season, and find themselves 5 points from safety.

A Monday night clash between a defensively weak Manchester City side and strugglers Newcastle United ended predictably in a draw:

Newcastle United 2-2 Manchester City
Shola Ameobi (1) 44'; Richard Dunne og 63'
Robinho (3) pen 14'; Stephen Ireland (3) 86'

Referee Rob Styles made another awful penalty decision, but as it affected a small club he will likely not be punished. Shola Ameobi scored his first goal in over two years in all competitions.

European matches mean the weekend's slate of games get split up over 3 days. The biggest match obviously being the meeting between the top 2 at Stamford Bridge. There's also the matter of the Tyne-Wear Derby at the Stadium of Light, a fixture which Sunderland has not won at home since April 1980. Finally, Stoke and Manchester City meet for the first time in nine years, when both were playing in the equivalent of League One.

Shola Ameobi (2) 30'

West Bromwich Albion 0-3 Hull City
Kamil Zayatte (1) 47'; Geovanni (4) 62'; Marlon King (3) 66'

Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Middlesbrough
Benni McCarthy (1) 90'
Afonso Alves (2) 74'

Late in the day, Tottenham sacked Juande Ramos and scrapped their player recruitment structure and have paid $8 million to Portsmouth to appoint Harry Redknapp as their new manager.

It's pretty convenient to have scores in here DaseScope. Maybe that is because i'm so lazy haha

Thanks for the scores EmperorJ.

Oh, and what a great win for Arsenal. Wenger does such an amazing job with a young squad. Also Nasri isn't even at his best yet and can still score 2 goals against a side like Man United.

New Pires ? Not for playing style, but for contributing a lot of goals from a wide area.
Do you know of ‘The Magnificent Steiner’ ? The main character was normally a weak, sickly man. When he was in an emergency, someone would come and help him. A secret friend. But, the main character never realised...... that his secret friend....Was himself.

My cable TV provider has been getting on my nerves since last august, so I don't want to pay them any more than I do now, and as a result I don't follow EPL this season :( But I'm glad to see that everything seems to be going well for Chelsea. Will keep my fingers crossed for them.

We're still at the top :) We need to win 2 more of 6 games and then we will have the title guaranteed.

I’m really disappointed Newcastle stayed up. Cause their fans (Not saying you in particular) are quite annoying. They think they should be a top club and expect top club status when they aren’t....

They needed to go down and give the whole club a reality check and regroup so they could come back in and be a typical mid table side like they should and are capable of.
