| We have talked about how we wished Ayako got her own route and became a heroine. And this has come up often as well. The question is though if a route for Mitsuzuri were to be written how would Type Moon go about doing? At what point from the first three days or one of the three routes would her storyline start? What would be the underlying theme of it? What type of growth would she and Shirou go through? What would she learn from becoming mixed up in the Grail War and more importantly what would Emiya learn from his bond with her and his struggles? What would unique conflict would transpire? The route's antagonist for example. |

You're the only one who needs to remember that ya twisted cat :P Given how parts of the VN hinted at how Ayako acts overly tough, I think that's where'd they'd take her character. She's not a trained magus and is not battled hardened like Rin or Shirou. While Shirou looks like a nice guy but can handle an emergency, Ayako has a tough exterior that covers a more unassuming personality. That would prolly be a good contrast between them that they could play off of. Yeah some people will likely say this is sexist, but fk 'em. Ayako's great, and if you don't agree you must be stupid. |

| The problem here is that FSN is not a classic VN. What I mean by that is how every route in it is an essential part of the story. We have "oneself as an ideal", "struggling with oneself as an ideal" and "the friction with real and ideal." Any additional route would have to fit in the story somehow. As much as I'd like to see Ayako route, I don't see it happening without breaking the flow of the story in some way. |

I don't think its impossible just complicated if you look at the branches of the current three routes and I agree any new route needs to fit into it. If we want stay within the theme of ideals I always thought the theme of Limitations or in this case the Limits that on can take an ideal. It sounds similar to "The friction with real and ideal" but I'm thinking more along the lines with how far a single person can carry them on their own or just understanding one's limits in general. I'm thinking of scenario in which both Shirou and Ayako understand their own. It goes without saying Shirou struggles with this ne way or another but Ayako who is rather head strong would realize that since she would clearly be out of her league in the War. She could even serve as Shirou's anchor to normal life. This just idea and I'm speaking hypothetically. Anyways this just all in good fun really. The idea of an Ayako route is pretty much trapped in the realm of fanfics(I should just write one at this rate been wanting to) or Fue douins. If Nasu ever wrote her storyline he'd probably throw us curve ball. :P |

I don't think its really sexist. Ayako has a rather feminine side to her. Hell her room is described in that side material described as looking like that of a little girl's and is rather girly in private. I recall a scene described in Ataraxia in which she acts so in a scene with Lancer as well. I don't understand some anime fans and their attitudes towards characters having a softer side. Its odd. I noticed that some female viewers have this strange attitude towards female characters who are feminine and example being Rukia vs. Orihime from Bleach or any tough lass vs. a more girly girl. |

Also I agree it would be a nice change of pace for a couple to engage in intimate relations without being forced to due to circumstances. Hell it would be cool if the two hook up early on. I think its more interesting to see a couple deal with their struggles together rather than a series of ship teasing when one knows that they'll be hooking up. |
