This is why Sanosuke is competing for my favourite character so far. Loved that K.O. punch.

I like how he was the only one not to warm up to "the broad" but in the end he was risking his life to help her and teach her a lesson. He was pretty stealthy this episode too. I'm really glad he's in the crew, it makes the series, especially fights much more interesting.

Sano's so far been the "flunky sidekick" who tries to be badass but then fails so Kenshin can come save his ass - the Piccolo to Goku, so to speak. It's nice to finally see him be badass without needing Kenshin to come save him.

My damn some of the dialogue is cheesy though.

Sanosuke is awesome.~ ^o^ This episode felt more focused on him, and that wasn't a bad thing, he's cool.

Sanosuke used... wrestling! And martial art. Too bad for the opponent, he had the shounen syndrome : not finishing your enemy properly. Shouldn't have put a guy like that as a guardian :P

So we learned the backstory of shady lady. As Touma once said : ''Such misfortune...''

Damn, I really felt for Miss Megumi when she told her story. As I mentioned in the forum for the previous episode, it really hits close to home with how some creep was to a close friend of mine that I really care about. I wish the fight at the end had been better; the opponent was so lame, doing a lot of really bad huge attacks. I kind of liked the cheesiness of the dub giving him a funny New York accent thing though.

I for sure thought that food Megumi made for the group was going to be drugged. But then her backstory made her on the level.

Sagara Sanosuke is like Zoro, Takani Megumi is like Robin, and Himura Kenshin is like Luffy. Also, Kamiya Kaoru is like Nami. Maybe Oda got inspiration from this.

It's not impossible at all.
After all , Oda was an assistant of Watsuki on Rurouni Kenshin.

I don't really see the how the characters are alike tho.

@Alexioos95 I knew Oda worked for some famous mangaka as an assistant but forgot who.

Takani Megumi joins the main characters without asking them permission, just like Robin randomly shows up. Both are mysterious characters who won't share their past. Except for Sagara Sanosuke, everyone trusts her, just like how Zoro did not trust Robin until he found that she left their crew for the crew's safety. Kamiya Kaoru and Nami are Tsundere who always beat Kenshin or Luffy.

Kanryu is after Megumi, who we discover is part of a family of doctors, and was forced to make opium. Kenshin and the others want to help her, but she's coerced to return to Kanryu. However, Sanosuke protects her and defeats a very powerful enemy. Unfortunately, Megumi is still taken as Kenshin and the others arrive.

This was a very powerful episode for Sanosuke, I felt. A lot of focus on him, as he was able to be on Megumi's side after the opium she created killed his friend. This was a more serious episode, and is a continuation from the previous episode. We don't have a resolution yet, though! Great episode, and it makes me look forward to the next one.
