Today, I'm going to talk about Yoshimichi Kameda, a young animator associated with Studio BONES. This guy hasn't really done a lot since he's still new in the industry. But, he did made waves animating cuts for the Fullmetal Alchemist series.(and recently, character designer for episode 22 of Space Dandy)

For most of his works, Kameda uses a Sumi-e brush for emphasis, which produces these expressive, thick lineart for his scenes. His style seems a bit similar to Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kanada-School, which he sites as an influence. And in the video below, his exaggerated motions, energetic timing and vigorous posings really shows in his scenes!

Fantastic! That was very fast paced and expressive.
It seems like the places where he uses the Sumi-e brush last for only a brief moment, but they add a lot to the scene.

@Brobot It’s exactly as you say, his work feels very powerful and intense.
