So on one hand there's this whole system of bosses to go through, and structured challenges, with the possibility of obtaining the powers of each boss they defeat. Very Megaman-esque, which I can definitely approve of.

That said, the fights so far haven't actually had that much strategy to them. They beat the chainsaw lady by basically just being strong enough to grab the saw without losing their hands, and now with the arena where they had to kill students to advance they just used a previous person's spears and took out the boss from inside the arena.

It's still enjoyable, and the art is super sharp and clean, but it does feel like there's not quite a proper 'weight' to the characters or the fights yet. Hopefully the mangaka can pick that up in time for the conclusion of this mini-arc though, I really want to see this series succeed.

i hope this series gets axed so we can get something else new. i may be speaking too soon but “Guardian of the Witch” just released too and that already shows more promise than this.

This fight like the last one was also too rushed and solved without much strategy but force. This panel where this nervous guy gets morphed into a creepy puppet master holding Zipman on strings was impressively done but it would have more weight if he had to decide at the end of the chapter to either kill the students or give up. He shouldnt be able to just make up a third decision with his own rules to end this so quick. Its good that he used his previous collected ability but what for example would he do if the spears werent able to penetrate through the walls?
At least the dino seems to have found a weakness of our hero, but I fear he will also be defeated too effortlessly as well. This series is getting worse with time. The only last chance is to make up for it with a thought out fight at the top floor against Phantom.

So not only Zipman has brute force, but also otherworldly sharpshooting skills.
I'm not quite buying this so far. I'm starting to be skeptical about the future of this series.
