This episode is already being hailed as one of the best in the show's 4 season run. What did you guys think?

Desmond's character has seemingly gone from a quirky abnormality to leading-man material, mostly due to Henry Ian Cusick's superb acting. Plus it helps that they've built on the actor's skill and created an epicly romantic storyline around him.

They did the same (not romantic) with Ben thanks to the amazing acting of Michael Emerson. I'd read that Ben's character was only going to be around for a few episodes originally but they were so impressed with Emerson that they kept him around. He's easily one of the best characters on the show, I love watching that sly bastard!

Anyway, back to this episode. Great mindjob. Writers Damon and Carlton always write the best episodes and I'm glad they avoided a paradox!

Well, it's definitely a great episode. For me, it's ranked third, right after "The Man Behind the Curtain" and "Dave".

I loved the fast cuts, so different from the usual Flashbacks with their introduction-sound. On top, it was nice to have something "good" again, after all those apocalyptic Flash-Forwards. When Des and Penny spoke over the phone, I almost cried. T.T
