Hello intellectuals!

We're planning to do different anime polls through this boring quarantine time, the first will be for your favourite anime character. It doesn't have to be a smart/genius person, but this is the Intellectual Otakus club after all. So we would prefer if you were to choose a character which made you think, or confused you. While the character itself made a genius move which blown your mind.

=- HOW WILL THE COMPETITION WORK? -=

1. Write down your favourite anime character + a good argument why he/she is your favourite character.
(!! Try to mind spoilers !!)
2. After everyone wrote down their favourites, we'll make a poll with those characters.
3. You are NOT allowed to vote for your own character.
4. When the poll ends, we'll see the winning character! Everyone will be able to discuss about this victory and why the most people chose for him/her.

Onizuka Eikichi, he's just a very well balanced and surprisingly relatable character. He works with opposites really well, he goes from extremely badass to goofy, from master chad to incel, from a old creep who wants high school chicks to a self righteous man who does all the right things, and while it can be argued if he's an academic genius or an idiot, his practical and emotional intelligence are unquestionable. The way the anime works the guy ends up making him an extremely likable and reliable character you can somewhat relate to no matter how different you are from him. You can forgive him when he screws up, trust he'll fix everything when it's needed and just downright want to be the guy, even if he is a 22 yo screw up who made having sex with teenagers his life's goal.

Hououin Kyouma from Steins;Gate because well first of all his laugh is an intellectual's laugh, he speaks multiple languages (Japanese and very good English as well - "mad scientist" is his favourite phrase), he is a genius, which requires you to be a bigbrain intellectual like all of us here. I mean, he invents the time machine and you can't do that with a small brain. He is a mad scientist and that is really cool. He wears a lab coat which makes his IQ go up by 100 points - to a record-breaking 5100. He has a crush on the right girl so you ship them a lot. He is very smart and also has friends!! Another big brain move by the unstoppable mad scientist Hououin Kyouma. Even the Organisation can't stop him!

he outsmarts almost everyone in the anime. he also made it if someone found the death note it wil cath fire. (unlike the stinky brain. netflix adaptation shit)

My favourite character is Oscar François de Jarjeyes from Versailles no Bara (The Rose of Versailles).
The reason why she is my favourite is simple. She is witty, intriguing, courageous, and compassionate. Furthermore, she is an extremely talented musician, and she fences as well. She's also a commander, ain't that badass?
All in all, she's a very strong female lead, who likes of which I have yet to see in another anime.

Light Yagami From Death note

The way he outsmarts L and kills him was for me one of the most brilliant moves of the decade and i don't think you can get more intellectual than that!
