Of all the Winter 2020 anime that I've been observing, Hanako-kun is one of the bunch that hasn't fizzled out yet in the seasonal curse, and has actually been stable throughout the months. And I mean, even though it is not a perfect adaptation, it was enjoyable and that Lerche art style is really fantastic.

So yeah, I don't know why but this caught on, and I approve of it. Hoping for a 2nd season soon...

Very dedicated fanbase, I'd say. And the VA choices and artstyle really helps it thrive imo
I think a 2nd season will happen eventually, just gotta be patient

If I'm honest I found this anime rather dull to begin with however the art style was great and I must admit it started becoming more appealing near the end. To be fair It does seem to have a loyal fanbase and for that reason I'd expect a season 2 in a few years

the anime did skip one of my favorite arcs in the manga, probably cause it would leave the story with too much of a cliffhanger so if they get another season that arc will probably be one of the first. It gets a lot more interesting as the story continues!

I'm on episode 9 as of now. I read a good chunk of the manga and I must say I'm enjoying this adaptation. Hoping for a season 2 soon!!

i agree 100% i definitely watched it for the art style and that definitely stuck with me more than the plot (especially at the beginning)
