Face of UAS ~Spring Season~

Friday is here and that means that it is time to continue with the Face of UAS, but before we do that I will bring you guys up to speed on everything that has happened in the past week. Our Club Relations list and Unpopular Anime Index have been updated! All new series admissions and rejections can be found here. It was quite the adventure going through the list as many of the recommendations showed why a change in our guidelines is much needed. We had a 44% acceptance rating which in large part was helped by the last two recommendation post (the number falls to 32% without them). We have had a number of good talks about ideas and suggestions we can use moving forward and I still plan on having talks with you guys on Discord and Twitter about ideas and suggestions you may have. No idea is a bad idea. In the next couple of days we will retire our current Unpopular Anime Index and in turn create a new one. If you visit the index now, you will notice that the url links are gone... we ran out of postable space and to update it we had to remove the url links. Fret not as the new index will have the url links back in place. Lastly we have a couple of special things planned in which we are really excited about including a collab with one of our affiliates so as always look forward to it! Mushibugyou
Mushibugyou is a shounen series from the Spring 2013 season and I can honestly say that I have never heard of it. I myself an a fan of historical themed anime so I find this entry very intriguing. Can this anime "lesser known anime" who "slipped under the radar" for many make it to the finals or am I the only one intrigued?



















Izumi Miyamura (Horimiya)
I have to say that I am a huge fan of this series. While I have not even started the overly popular T.V. series, which is currently airing, I have however seen the OVA and I have red the web comic and I am reading the manga. Izumi Miyamura is that relatable character that most of us see some part of him in ourselves, especially in high school. While one could argue that the series is too popular for the club, it doesn't change the face that the OVA has been apart of our relations list for some time and still meets the requirements. By the way, we need to show the guys some love too!



















Kishin Heidan
Kishin Heidan is another one of those titles in which I have never heard of and chances are you haven't either. It has a member count of 1911 and has been completed by only 706 members! The most impressive stat would have to be the fact that this series only has a 13% dropped/completion rate. when numbers are low such as these many series have much higher rates. Obviously there are quite a few people who liked it. Is it enough to push it into the finals?




















Tsumiki no Ie
Tsumiki no Ie is one of those anime in which you get that warm, enlighten feeling once you finish it, and it is only 12 minutes. Once upon a time this anime was apart of Netflix's anime catalog and was featured in our Unpopular Anime Film Festival back in 2017. Is the love for it still in our club and can it catapult it to the finals?




















Simoun
Studio Deen has had their hands in a lot of good anime series and some not so great series... looking at you Pupa. This Shoujo Ai is one of their lesser know series but can that make it the right fit to move into the finals?






















Ro-Kyu-Bu!
Ro-Kyu-Bu is a series just overflowing with cute loli girls doing cute loli things. My first real friend I talked anime with as an adult came from talking about this series. Come on who doesn't love lolis? Can your love put them in the finals?




















Aria the Animation
Aria is a timeless classic I don't care how old you are. Honestly most people go into this series not knowing what to expect and by the time that it is over they come away with a new favorite. Finals or not this is a must add to your PTW list.




















Tantei Gakuen Q
One of my favorite things about the Face of UAS is the fact of it being a good way to showcase unpopular titles to all our members. Each season we do this I pick up a few new titles to watch that catch my attention and this one is no exception. Does Tantei Gakuen Q have your attention enough for it to be placed in the finals?




















Shion Yasuoka (Shion no Ou)
If you have been apart of UAS for a while then chances you have heard of Cinna's love for the series a particular series. While she love the series Shion no Ou, she loves the main heroine Shion a whole lot more. Shion has been nominated a few times and besides Dirty Pair, she has made it to the finals more than any other. Can she make it there again?




















Chocolat "Chocolat Kato" Meilleure (Sugar Sugar Rune)
Magical Girl anime are a favorite here at UAS Yuki Yuna was the first character to represent our club back in the Fall of 2015. Can Chocolat follow in her footsteps and do the same? First she has to make it into the finals... can she?
