| Best chapter so far, Neru using his toes to stop the spear and slash was awesome, and I got a kick out of how much footwork he was shown to have down, including writing with his feet. The panel where Jokuro is presented as a skull telling him he's good with the inverted colour scheme on the background and speech bubbles was excellent. Cool how they showed his victory without really showing the moves lands, you just get the overwhelming sense of how talented he is if from the skull panel and the following ones. Great stuff. Also lol at the Academics bit. |
| After three chapters I don't see a lot of potential for this series. The art is very kinetic and works extremely well for then subject but the characters are flat and uninteresting. Cool fights need character and motivation to be exciting and this seems very flat in both departments. I hope it picks up I love martial arts series but another series about a school for talented martial artists with nothing extra to it is needed about as much as we need another isekai. |
