Is it just me or this anime gives you more American animation vibe than anime vibe?

Just watched the first episode, I really like it, and I'm surprised this Japanese anime gives me more vibe of American animation than Japanese animation. Probably cuz I watch the English dub. Do you also get the same vibe, especially when watching the dubbed version?

EDIT: I know this Japanese anime is adapted from American comic, however some anime like X-Men, Wolverine, Cannon Busters (which are based on comics) don't give me American vibe THAT much (I mean the character design) and I still get the Japanese vibe (character design). This one barely gives me any Japanese vibe.

It's Obvious cause this series is adapted from An American Comic (of same name) By Mark Miller. Studio Bones done a great Job.

He is the comic designer, I'm talking about the anime. I actually love the American style and ai don't mind about this not having JP vibe (the character designs), I just didn't expect it to barely have JP vibe cuz those 3 anime I mentioned above still gave me much JP vibes.

At its premiere, director Motonobu Hori explained that because the series takes place, in part, before the comic book series, Mark Millar provided additional back story for Dai Satō to adapt, and Leinil Francis Yu provided younger character designs for Takashi Mitani to translate into animation.[6] The series would serve as a prequel to the comics and then overlap with the comic storyline.

Other example are not same case. So maybe...
