It’s pretty good. It had a a fair few good laughs and a new take on the isekai genre and avoided pretty much all the over done tropes and played off it in a similar way to how Konosuba does. I don’t think it’s nearly as good as Konosuba but that’s more of a testament to how much I like Konosuba. If you like isekai and like comedy anime then I’d give it a watch.

Comedy is subjective but it's pretty funny, and the dynamic between the leads is definitely something you don't see too much in anime. I guess maybe don't check it out if you have hang-ups about issues related to sex and gender, the show isn't super-nuanced about it, but people with conservative views probably won't like it anyway. But if you're a sane, rational human, you'll have a good time.

the question is. does the idea of childhood friends to lovers played as a self aware Isekai comedy sound appealing to you? if so than check it out. you should know if it is enjoyable to you within an episode of two
