| This episode only needed 2 minutes to remind me why I fell in love with Made in Abyss in the first place. The story telling, the scenery, the art style, the goddamn music, it all fits perfectly. The transition between Vuelo's and Riko's POV was amazing, that serves as a great foundation for her full backstory later in the season. This is going to be one hell of a ride, and I'm all here for it! |

| Glad to have this back, I put off watching the movies until this was nearby so the series would be fresh in memory. I saw the recaps over the weekend and the third movie right before this episode. Opening with the discovery of the Abyss was very interesting. I'm curious if any of the people from that expedition are still alive. Did that guy have some kind of special ability to understand the native language or words? The transition from the past into the present was awesome. Can't wait for this arc to hit the ground running. |

| Hell yeah! Potential AOTS and AOTY contender (if done right) is finally here. Excellent start, I would say. They re-arranged some manga chapters in order to have the first half of Ganja's backstory as introduction to the Sixth Layer. This way, we won't be getting 3-3,5 episodes in a row only focused on Vueko and co. so I think it was a good decision, all things considered. Not to mention the parallels between Vueko and Riko's journeys were portrayed quite nicely as well. And as expected, Kevin Penkin's OST being a masterpiece as always. |
| It's back! I watched the first season and movie relatively recently so it's still somewhat fresh in my mind. Perfect to see it pick up right from the point it stopped at with Movie3. The gang is back and have reached the 6th layer. The prequel story happening at the same time should be interesting too, the correlation will probably have some dramatic and emotional consequences and I look forward to getting there. What a great summer season we got ahead of us. |

First episode, and a couple of seconds in, and we're already getting into this sh*t Sucks to be a kid in this world   With the harem isekai, uncle isekai, and the stepmom’s daughter ex romcom, Made in Abyss will definitely be my highlight of Wednesday. |
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |

| Wow that was a fucked up way to start season 2.... Rape in like the first 15 seconds, fucking brutal. Anyways, great episode. I wonder what this golden city is all about and what happened to that crew that went down there first. It’s also crazy that the technology was already down there. Like the generator and the capsule. Just how advance were those old civilizations? |
| Ah yes, of course we start off the season with a r*pe scene just in case you had forgotten it was Made in Abyss. Also I can just picture the board meeting for this episode where everyone collectively went: “Yes, Riko taking a dump in the elevator is absolutely integral to the plot.” I have dearly missed this show though. Looking forward to the next episode and the fresh horrors that await us this season. |

We meet both the new character and our favorite trio going to the sixth layer. Gorgeous backgrounds as usual, there was already some graphic stuff here and there, and I’m also surprised the kept Riko pooping lol. Episode ends with Riko/Vueko reaching the sixth later. | I watched the new episode last night, and what a great way to start the new season... This is the Made in Abyss we knew. That aside, it's safe to say as an anime only the new season will be showing us the adventures of the two crews simultaneously, slowly revealing their link between them. It'd be a very nice way of revealing the secrets of the Abyss to the audience. I believe Vena's crew was the first to explore the Abyss a couple thousand years ago, since there was no city around the edge of the Abyss and having almost no problems reaching the sixth layer (it was mentioned in the first season that the Abyss deepens every few thousand years). Also, Riko (I think) explained to Reg in the first season that an ancient civilization died while exploring the Abyss since he discovered a few of their skeleton remains at the very first layer if you remember. Now I'm curious. |

| Ah yes, not even a minute in and MiA is already trying to break us. We finally back... Is what I'd like to say, but I just got the chance to watch Dawn of Deep Soul the day before yesterday, so it still feels fresh in my mind. Didn't expect we'd be seeing the pioneers of the abyss to start the season. It's really really interesting to see people exploring the abyss for the first time without any prior knowledge. But I can already smell the pain coming a mile away, gotta prepare myself. Excuse me Nanachi, did you just call Riko's white whistle, the "Prush-stone?!" Lmao. Also, more Kevin Penkin goodness baby. Let's go 3 months of atmospheric pain, I am ready. |

| From this first ep alone we can assume this is going to be aots, not that there is much competition anyway this season. Curious to see how they will adapt everything because I remember thinking this part was more fucked up than the ido front with bondrewd one. |

| The chapter was good. Even so, I'm surprised that it has such a high score (8.80) with only one episode that hasn't shown anything new yet but I think I'm the only one who didn't think it was thaaat good. |

| Just finished the first episode and I thought the story of the other group who arrived before Riko was alright. The device Riko and her friends are on seems to penetrate the sea of corpses into a golden area where there is no water. Does that mean that device can float in mid-air? Also, how come the water from the sea of corpses can’t penetrate the gold area(barrier?)? |

| It has started and the start is pretty great. I have high hopes for this show. Can't wait to see more of our cast and all the new characters that we meet in this episode. Some sad and funny moments are still here and there but it doesn't take long for it to become dark all of a sudden. The art is still the same and Kevin Penkin is still the GOAT. What a great OST he has created for this show, once again. |

| What I'm most impressed by besides the story is the technical and creative aspects of this first episode. So much care is put into the art, the cinematography, the music and the overall scenes in general. After watching and getting disappointed by pathetic seasonal Isekai trash, this is a breath of fresh air. Instead of feeling like a generic cash grab, this actually feels like a piece of art. 10/10 first episode. |

| The Made in Abyss manga is still ongoing, so it is hard to tell. After the arc being adapted in the current season there are only a few chapters that exist. Messed up the quoting brrr |
