Why did season 2 go so bad with such a boring plot?

It's not the creator's fault. Because the story I read in the manga isn't even like that. It doesn't have this ridiculous power of friendship... I don't know how it is in the light novel...

LOL is not even the power of friend ship. Naofumi literally has no goals anymore besides stoping the waves and he looks like a background character, Raphtalia gets kidnapped but Naofumi still manages to get 75 levels by himself so there goes her whole career, Filo is just Filo, the main villains were a mess, why did he want the power of the turtle anyways? to create a Wave? that was going to come anyways? also stupid evil villain laughter was riddiculous. To top all off Naofumi is now a confirmed Lolicon lol.

I don't even...the power of friendship is the least of this series problems now lol...

I haven't read the manga but if it's like you said then studio apparently screwed it up.

when i think about it, whats the villain's goal anyway? just to spite people?
my only problem this season was they really want to annoy you, but the reward is not that satisfying. in the LN, the other heroes are MEEGAA annoying i feel like im stuck working with someone i hate but i couldn't resign, its constantly giving me bad premonition, its pretty bad for my stomach so i stop reading after shield guy defeat the turtle.

Yea you're right they're annoying but there's an important reason for it! The other heroes are annoying to show how they are not real heroes, they go against everything a traditional hero should do. It also shows that Naofumi is completely different from them and becomes a true Shield hero. It makes the audience cheer for the underdog and everyone is looking forward for Naofumi to overcome them. Thats why the Japanese name of the series is "Noriagari" witch means overcome. The other heroes being annoying villains are an integral part of the story in S1.

Now come to S2 and you got a guy who nobody gives a shit about, that came out of nowhere, that has no relevance to anything and that is being over the top annoying for no reason at all. His motivation is never explained, his reason for creating a wave is stupid when that would've happened anyways. He hates Naofumi when he doesn't even know who he is. He makes no sense at all.

That's the difference between a good villain that is relevant to the story and a worthless one that is just around to make people angry but doesn't contribute anything at all.

I haven't watched the second season yet, but am glad to see that people finally realizes how bad this series is :)))

the premise is interesting, but the plot and animation can't keep up.

if you want good story, read novel. if you want good graphic, read manga. anime is beyond that.
