| Ruby's abrupt shootout from Shion Zaiden to avoid her death in Weiss's dream, it was an admirable job trying to identify what's going on in the Ice Queendom, and most specifically the Nightmare (treating her as such as Negative Weiss). Since Team JNPR has done the same for Jaune, it only made sense that Team RWBY has to handle their stuff together as one group. Entering into Negative Weiss's dream...and floating around her dream like a typical group sure drags time away, save for the main objective for Ruby to retrace her memories with Blake and Yang, and this time, it must be discreet to avoid attention. Pyrrha singing Weiss's theme of Mirror Mirror...certainly was a surprise to have it here. But otherwise, getting deeper into the Ice Queendom only secures their status as intruders in Negative Weiss's dream, and much ado on the certain complexities, only the Faunus Blake stands while Ruby and Yang self-surrendered to keep her from sticking out like a sore thumb. Weiss's resistance to the Nightmare, and the chess horse rook relic that Ruby found, the closer they get to Weiss, the more resistance they face. The only way now: forward, and not looking back. |

| Very disappointed in this episode, a lot of things were repeated, the other classmates “concern” for Weiss.. even though we didn’t even know the cast knew about Weiss until Ruby ended up in the dream realm. |
| Was not expecting Pyrrha to sing Mirror Mirror, she wasn't half bad too. But I'm wondering why Pyrrha singing it and not Weiss. Like that's her song why didn't we see I don't know another version of Weiss singing it. Looks like the girls are going to fight next episode. Some people don't like the idea of the season just being inside a dream, but I'm enjoying it. Its not fantastic its basically like someone's fanfiction being animated. However I still appreciate some of the ideas they're trying to show. |
| The use of these side-by-side frames is starting to irritate me a bit. Especially when Ruby, Yang, and Blake are all talking about who's going to go into the dream. Aren't they all standing next to one another? Why do they need to be separated by these lines if that's the case?? About the only time it makes sense is during that last scene where things are a bit more distorted and dreamlike (which seems to be done intentionally). |

| By every episode, my faith in RWBY Fandom decreases little by little. Never before in my life I've seen fans whine about such small things like 'it's all a dream', 'they wasted time on singing'. Like come on these aren't even criticisms anymore. The singing sequence was well animated and no body mentioned how beautiful it looked and sounded. |

I think it has to do with Weiss seeing Pyrrha like an equal and inspiration, so she reflects part of her "self" onto her. She's even given a version of a dress Weiss would later wear in the main series she presumably had at her home. Pyrrha sometimes has her own feelings of being lonely at the top, but she's in the jail with the others due to not accepting the desire to be part of a team with everyone else. That's a really good point. Makes me wish they focused a little bit more on it. |
| Interesting that they had Mirror Mirror featured. Cool that they brought the song because it was a big part of he Wess' characterization in early RWBY. Did feel a little random rn tho. Gotta wonder how much time Yang really saved them by staying in that room since Weiss found them pretty quick... |

| I fail to see how being it a dream is off putting to some people. Have you not watch Inception? It's a wonderful life? Spirited Away? Can't you imagine that entering a dream world (not a real world) can get character development? Specially from someone being this prejudice because of the upbringing she's had. She must change and be a better person, tackling her real issues head on seems like a good idea (how she sees the idea of anything aside from her family as a dummy, how despite everything she sees she won't change it, how she really can't seem to figure out what she feels about her team). |

| Oh fuck this already. Nearly halfway through the entire show, and it still feels like we're at the very start. And now there's not even any tension since any situation can be pulled out of with no penalty. What an utter, utter joke. I'll be glad to see the back of it. Dropped. |

Exactly my thoughts. I already hate the fans more than I hate the inconsistencies in animation. Dreams are like getting drunk, you show you deepest and darkest desires and traumas. |

Well, speaking from someone new to RWBY (have been always on the ptw but never watched it) I was questioning the scene as well, although knowing that it represents Weiss because it is obvious. I've heard people say that she probably sees herself in her and therefore she sings her theme. With this in mind, maybe expressing her emotions of loneliness is a "dummy" thing to do (even having them must be something that her family teach her to suppress). This is a world created on a basis of psychological analysis of Weiss with all her problems and everything so trying to piece it all together is fun (though, of course, it must be better for og fans) I like this, I love Shaft and them being able to do wacky stuff to their leisure is fun with the amount of things that they can fit in together (1984, metropolis, nazi germany, fairy tales, attack on titan?, madoka, etc) is generally what I want from them |
| The episode was alright, I enjoyed Pyrrha singing ‘Mirror Mirror’ the most. I will definitely get that song in the future when it is available along with at least another. Hopefully this series will have many great tracks. |

| This show feels... slow. I feel like the scene at the beginning where Ruby is explaining her finds in Weiss' dream is unnecessarily long. It's trippy but it's good so far. It seems to me this show lacks consistency. How can Blake enter the tower so easily? If such option was available, why not just snuck in all three of them together in the first place? |

| I'm embarrassed to admit it took me until Sleepy Klein to realize the Kleins were the 7 Dwarves. smh Blake saying Nega Weiss amused the hell out of me. I really liked Pyrrah's song. It was very telling. I hope Ruby picked up on it. It appeared as if she had, but you never can tell with her. |

Dude on your last comment I was thinking, I'm not skipping 10 seconds quite yet - but on this episode I actually started skipping ahead at slower parts, even halfway through the song before I realized its the actual mirror mirror song lol, then went back and watched it along with the japanese version on youtube, which sounded better than the english singing, but only because they didn't use the original mirror mirror singer to do it, i don't even think they used wiess's VA, it was probably pyrahhas for how deep her voice sounded, eitherway that was a lame way to add it for me, even if they were trying to say weiss feels like shes trapped in a cage it really didn't do any form of justice lol - but yeah at least they attempted to add a little bit of OG rwby callbacks to it Still though, I'm really starting to dislike the dream world because it feels like wasted potential, and a lot of fluff instead of progress lol I didn't plan to come here to complain, was just gonna see if you commented so i could reply to your comment on EP 03 - that yeah, the 5th was lacking in quality, but once I started to think about it, I really started to see the issues lol, it really is getting progressively worse, and im just going to have to go forward with zero expectations from here on out Someone did say the last 2 eps will finally improve in quality though, so heres hoping. |
