| I think that was a really nice execution of the whole forgiveness schlick. Hotaru clearly states that she can't forgive her actions that she did, but also acknowledges that she still cares for her based on their good memories. It's nice to see (especially) FL's actually being something other than nice goddess who forgive everything, and it really adds to the weight of the incident |

| Definitely liked this chapter because of how realistic Hotaru's reconciliation with Sakura is, and also how Sakura pulls no punches for how out-of-line Hananoi is. There's no real difference between threatening via force and actually doing it, and she calls out Hotaru for saying that the difference matters. Hananoi really hasn't changed much, even if we've seen a part of him that isn't as toxic as before. He's still 3 red flags in a trench coat, and Hotaru is looking at him through a myopic view even after they fought. It'll be interesting to see where the author goes from here, this story has definitely ramped up in a good way. |
