| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Very novel to base a sci-fi on the antiquited aetherial space theory. Really enjoyied the series (movie in two parts?). The character design was very pleasent, and the score was top notch. Rated it an 8, witch is very high to me. |

| What unnecessary nudity! This anime has another tone, another purpose, it's not ecchi, didn't need to show China-san naked. |

| Meh, seriously meh. This second half was less boring than the first, but it lacks any of the charm and sense of... well... wonder that the first Spirit of Wonder had. Also, maybe it was just me, but none of the characters seemed likable in the least. I mean you had a nagging nosey girlfriend and her drunk bf who only ever showed up when the "club" need her help. Then you had a perv scientist and a generic father character. Not a single character among these seemed like likable people. |

kandi_gloss said: Not a single character among these seemed like likable people. yeah the art reminds me of Serial Experiments Lain and Paranoia Agent but those where more interesting and certainly have some sort of appeal than this :( and seriously tho, that girl shoulda been in a better place exploiting her talent and help real science instead of entertaining old men and having kids with a drunk bastard... anyways, i'm very frustrated on this one. 1/10. |

| I have no experience with the manga so it was had to relate to the characters, but I thought this was a neat couple of ovas. 8/10 The story was fun and didn't take itself seriously, and I assume Jules Verne was a big inspiration. The animation was top-notch as well. The ending shot with the audience dumbfounded and them deciding to not publish the photo was perfect. |
