Why is it rated PG-13?

I'm confused why the anime's rating on this website changed from R to PG-13. The anime at the least should be appropriate for those 16+ o_o

It is weird, I am rewatching KLK and is definitely not worth to be PG-13, with having a ton of bloodshed almost every episode.

The narration in this show is really shonen and everything is exaggerated. The violence is more funny than impactful and even if there is plenty of fan service, no complete nudity is shown. I watched this when I was 14 and loved it so I think the classification is justified.

It's weird, but I guess it's because it isn't serious or realistic violence, but more overblown cartoon violence

Ryuko has had loads of sexual harassment and assault too, but the show plays it off as innocent, though im still in love with this show either way lol

I think it's because the dub is rated TV-14 on Hulu.

I don't get it either...
Ryuuko literaly gets fingered by her ¨mother¨ in the start of ep 21, even tho there is no raw nudity a regular human realises it.
I'm not shure where i'm heading with this, so..... BYE

R18+ here in Aus and that's probably fair to be honest. Watching as a 37 year old guy, it's pretty full on.

An ecchi genre show shouldn't rated PG-13, there's a lot of sexual content and making them look like a "joke" only makes it worse.

And Specials is rated R, quite dumb.
