I think sad ending would go better as outcome of this arc.

I got some seriously serious feels when I thought Schneider died. It was cool in a way to see he didn't, I guess, but I was really hoping for a happy ending with him and Misanagi. ;___; And she doesn't even know he survived... and she'll never know either. THAT'S SO SAD.

It's kind of... unexpected that Yutaro gave up swordsmanship when we consider the huge deal he made of it when he was introduced some ~65 episodes ago. It seems he's completely forgotten about his desire to follow in his father's footsteps. Still, he's developed a lot over that time. He didn't act nearly as bratty and irritating as he did when he was introduced - in fact, he acted far more mature. Meanwhile, Yahiko hasn't changed at all. Go figure.

Oh well, nice mini arc yet again as long as one can get past some things such as how preoccupied the filler is with integrating Western culture into the series.

How the hell(no pun intended) did they manage to escape from the burning Elixer underground place? That's the only thing that bothers me.

Pretty decent ending of this arc, quite intense but for some reason I expected it being more intense to be honest! Oh well let's see what the last 6 episodes will offer.

Still some awkward dialogue, especially that romance towards the middle, and other goofy stuff, like the rocks falling and those guys escaping from it and Kenshin launching the fire that seemingly shouldn't have existed to begin with. I was especially shocked by that fire after the beginning showed a significantly more realistic fight showing how a horse-riding knight with a lance might overpower a samurai with a katana. The fight was decent, but it aped the duel with Shishio. This was better than the last bunch; I especially liked the scenes with Yutaro saying his goodbyes to the dojo and a small scene with water flowing in the underground. Unfortunately, the end was weak. How did the Black Knights escape, return to Germany and turn themselves in so fast? I can't believe that the ninjas would let Misanagi go totally free, especially after the series emphasized their mercilessness. Yutaro leaving Japan was good. It was a very mixed episode or me.

There's gotta be a name for the trope Schneider pulls where someone thinks you died and "lives on in your honour" but really you're a-okay.

Finally getting around to watching the later half of the 96 Kenshin anime for the first time. Amakusa Shougo and the previous arc were cool and interesting enough, but this one is played too straight while also being goofy as hell, lol, oh well, one last arc to go 🥹

With the shit Misanagi pulled getting some of her ninja comrades killed i sure as hell didn’t forget about that without batting an eye to why are they glossing over everything thing she did she’s not a good leader yes forgiving is good and all but its like they make it seem like everything she did and caused was nothing giving her a little pat on the back what the hell that part just bother me a lot

But I would have liked Misanagi and Schneider getting together or just being by each others side I noticed the little bitty romance between the two kind of
