| Nah, L take. I love the holistic belief that magic, psychic powers, and magical girl powers, are all existing simultaneously. Some have speculated that they're more or less the same energy, and simply called upon different ways. Psychic powers are encoded into your DNA. Some anime portray this as genetic inherited abilities like in Naruto. Other anime will explore learning new abilities by training chakra or qi. Some abilities are unlocked by performing a ritual or witchcraft, which may require a vessel, possession, sacrifice, scroll, grimoire, arcane circle, rune, or some other way to embed the "code" of magic into a physical form. Chanting a spell is like executing a program. There are tons of ways video games and anime have demonstrated magic and psychic abilities, so it's about damn time we see them all clash against each other in one universe. |

| I just hope that this season doesn’t focus too much on the “other world” and just focuses on the earth that has psychics and magical girls and shit tbh bc that Marc shit really turned me the hell off for this show. But hey idk what’s in store for the second season so all I can do is hope that the light novel doesn’t have that type of bs anymore |

| Re:creators is about creators and their fictional creations. Sasaki to pii-chan isn't about that. |

| I didn’t have a problem with the amount of different elements, what I had a problem with was the execution. Nothing felt exciting while it was actually happening. |

| This!! Reading some of the early comments about how the first battle was heavily toned down led me to the manga which led me to the LN, and I can honestly say I LIKE the story (it's dark but not too dark), and while the anime is decent overall, it does really poorly with the action scenes. Either bad choreography, off-screen action, and/or terrible music choice during said action scenes. The music choice really stood out like a sore thumb! You have a life or death action scene and you're playing joke/SoL music in the background like, what? |

There also just seems to be a problem with the sound editing/mixing in general, as there were various scenes, including some present in the season finale, in which characters were just standing around talking relatively quietly but overly loud music was playing over them. |

| I agree there's kind of a lot going on at once, but I really didn't like Re:Creators much, and I happen to thoroughly enjoy Sasaki to Pii-chan. It's a bit weird to see them compared so much. |

Yeah that too. All in all, it really sucked the enjoyment out of it for me. They literally already had a banger OP and all they had to do was overlay it during climatic scenes like every other generic anime, but nope, you get the joke/"funny" theme. |

SPOILER what are you talking about it's darker and messed up, in my opinion, and I wouldn't recommend for people who are faint of heart. sasaki neighbour wants to be raped by him THEN HELP HIM RECOVER FROM THE "TRAUMA" of sexual assaulting her. I just couldn't get past that it wasn't necessary and doesn't add to the story other than he's got school kids wanting to date him. |

| @sjabeen It was just all over the place & I totally couldn't connect to a single character throughout the whole 12 episodes. I seriously couldn't care less about what happens with any character in this anime. |

| Yeah, it just felt weird to me but whatever I guess, I have seen worse (both in anime and IRL). I could also try to pass it off as a character's intrusive thoughts/delusions since so far it hasn't really amounted to anything. And if I can put that aside, the rest of the story about the different worlds intersecting and all the different factions interacting really hooked me in. I felt like there was a good balance of world building and character focus. This is referring to the LN of course, which I felt the anime did not do it justice. Oh, and when I say "dark" in this context I mean more like extreme violence/gore and depictions of depression/suffering (essentially torture porn of the characters). Uhm, off the top of my head, stuff I watched like mahou shoujo site, good night world, etc.. From the snippets of what I saw/read, MahouIku and Redo of Healer are pretty rough too. Oh, special mention to Oshi no Ko; the story is great but damn, some parts were REALLY uncomfortable to watch/read, lol. |

| hmm, I'm definitely looking forward to the S2. However, comparing this to re:creators which I absolutely liked in their own way is rather cruel. There's a lot of isekai out there already... lol |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Very strange. Before watching, I heard a bunch of negative stuff about this series. However now that I've seen all of season 1, I REALLY like it. I love that there's so much going on and I can't wait to see how it all blends together. The time differences getting shorter, the appearance of the lizardman, and the demon dude. I imagine both worlds are going to morph into one or something. |
