This is just a copy and paste of my review for Edens Zero Chapter 288 I covered on Anilist.

Edens Zero, Chapter 288 review

Starting off with this mysterious woman whose time was stolen away from her which was talked about a few chapters ago and she is fighting against Shiki because she wants to get rid of the current universe. Shiki can't understand why she would rather destroy a universe instead of seeking a way of restoring her stolen time, if it's even possible at all. Shiki pleads with the woman to reconsider, but she refuses to do so. Shiki then decides to stop her by using his gravity power to suck in her power. Shiki brings the chrono-phage closer to mother so that it will eat her and restore the time at which she was the planet earth. Shiki then says, "I think I can be friends with you, too."
I really liked this chapter as it shows that Shiki has gotten stronger and evolved using his gravity ether gear from the knowledge of the previous universes and from this current one. He can now use his overdrive state to turn into a version of Master Ziggy as we have seen with once before. We get to see this mysterious woman fight against Shiki and be a pillar to Shiki and which he needs to get over so he can use the chrono-page. I really like her character design and the lack of information about her that we know so far. Of course, the panels and art are great too and the use of white and grey that adds to the scenes. We see him use his gravity Ether Gear in his overdrive state to suck in the upcoming attack from the mysterious woman and that just shows how much stronger he got. Shiki shows that he would sacrifice himself in this situation in order to save the universe in which all his friends get a happy ending. The very last page of the chapter shows you that Shiki still wants to accept this woman as his friend and that she could change her outlook and accept the help of Shiki to save her. Overall, I like this chapter and yes it may be short and not really fleshing out other characters, it gives a look into Shiki further and how he would do anything to have his friends be happy in universe 0. 4/5 enjoyment.
