I didn't enjoy this second episode that much either, it had a lame way to continue the story and the combination of humor and character development wasn't the best at all.

Let's see what the sequel has to offer but for these two ova's I'll give a 3/10

I'm actually kinda confused what was the second episode and what was the first, some places seem to think the boring episode where nothing really happens was the first episode with the crazy (and unfunny in my opinion) actiony episode being second (which is how I watched it) and others seem to have it other other way around. Oh well...
anyhow, i'm giving these two OVAs a 4/10 because at least the second one was watchable, I save 3 and lower for stuff I absolutely hate.

This was really made for manga fans, sadly. No branch for newcomers.

Worst of all, no action this episode, just lame drama and I couldn't follow the relationship between Compiler and Nachi - after watching episode , I thought he and Compiler had some kind of romantic interaction, or 'cybersex' as the back of the tape cover claims - did the ADV advertising copy lie to me?

I was also slightly confused about the order of the episodes, but this whole OVA didn't make much sense to begin with.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I think some people watched the episodes in the wrong order.

So, the first episode is some kind of moody, rainy relationship drama and the second has some of the most ridiculous shit you could imagine thrown together at high-speed. It works surprisingly well.

The reason for the confusion about the episode order is that when ADV were localising the series, they wanted the big action-y episode (which was the second episode in the Japanese release) to be first because they expected the American audience would be more drawn in by the fast-paced and bombastic nature of the episode than the slower character drama of the other episode.
And yes, I'm afraid ADV did lie to you about the cybersex.
