why was this written in left to right like western comics?

or was this only english versions?

It wasn't, the Italian release is right to left. Maybe the english publisher thought a broader audience could like it, outside of the manga readers community and decided to mirror the pages. Maybe they still used to mirror everything when it released, dunno

Idk which version you are referring to, but the english version I have (the complete one) is from right to left.

I probably regret this post by now.
