| Seto fully expecting Nio and Taro, with Jutaro's letter that clearly stated the deed being tied to a pigeon, he's merely an informant who doesn't earn anything from his requests. and even if they don't know where to find the assassins, the Miburo would find their culprits instead with their connections. Still don't trust Seto, will have to keep watch on him. The raid on the inn...only to find a fellow Aizu old man to have tea with him instead, and the children learning that Kondo is married and has a family of his own, this was merely a guise to get him to drop his guard and reveal his reasons on the assassination, and avoid getting hurt on either side. Of course, Kondo played to his own faults, and the 2nd of 5 Devils is swifty caught, without having to draw a sword that keeps word with the innkeeper. 3 left to go, including Kyochiro, whom Hajime faces the second time, and it's the battle of pride between shinobi and samurai...that has Kyochiro being in the unfavorable side. What's his tactic to counter Hajime? |

| Nio didn't take Seto's "It's just a prank bro" well. Kondo finds nothing but an old man in the suspect's room, managing to weed out a confession and capture him without seeing blood. Serizawa is too drunk to fight. The ninja is back and Saitō returns and item. Aww man, after an entire episode without with minimal swordplay they end before his fight can begin. |

| Hajime acknowledges Nio even if there are things that he dislikes about him. Kondo is too trust and a person with a kind heart than anyone I have seen in this anime. It even came as a surprise to me that he has a wife and kids. Seta's a cunning one, he puts up a goody-two-shoes front for others. Someone to be wary about. |
