It's Haijme's turn to face the Risshidan, and this is a no-brain to him to face the one-armed samurai with his poisonous sword, though he got accosted rather quickly.

And yet, with the beliefs of the master who brought Hajime in and taught him life skills, Hajime tries desperately for an iai skill strike, though it's his partner spoiling the battle and dealing with him straight.

Finally, is it about time that Nio faced Yotaro...and know the truth about him and Nagi being part of the Risshidan?

A very heartfelt episode focusing on Hajime. Our resident stoic edgy boy has a pretty sad backstory. Learning that he was orphan who'd lost his parents, to the be picked up by this lone swordsman who then raised him. It was interesting seeing their relationship and how close they were underneath all the perceived distance. Hajime always wanting to prove himself strong to the old man. I'm glad he could gain some purpose through the original Hajime and have a full life because of him now. It sucks how the old man dies trying to protect Hajime while not letting him see himself being a killer. The pain as young Hajime cried out when the old man died. His fight on the bridge wasn't quite a full on fight but that's not the point so its ok. I'm glad that Hajime had backup there to knock out the one handed poison user. Now jumping over to Nio as he went to the enemy dojo directly!

So that's how Hajime earn that money, uh? Honestly I actually thought he got his hands dirty one last time but I was wrong, I'm glad I was. The finally arrives next week, I'm waiting for it!

Saito Hajime (Jiro)‘s backstory was so sad, but with much impact. The original Saito Hajime taught him everything he knew and now he can continue his legacy.

"Nope, not interested"

Now we get to the real Saitō Hajime who raised the orphan Jiro.
Trauma caused Jiro's white hair (Gintoki style)? Then, is Nio's hair also the result of trauma or is it just albinism?
The man was a role model to Jiro, and was how Jiro got acquainted with the snake since Saitō Hajime was a killer for hire.
Battling illness and vengeful opponents, Saitō Hajime adopts Jiro as his son and sends him to be raised in Mibu all in one dying act. Jiro takes up the name of his master and adoptive father. Quiete a strange spin on this guy's life where he's supposed to be around Okita's age.
Saitō Hajime II didn't earn 10 Ryo by answering a hit, but from chopping up an already-dead body.

The characters are wonderful. They all, villains included have their hearts set on their sense of justice in the world that has been given to them. It is reflected in their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and actions for both main characters and enemies alike. It follows the story of the Miburo, a group of Ronin deriving from Edo who had eventually settled in Mibu. With the band traveling to Kyoto, two men, while eating at this old Lady's dango shop meet Nio. Nio is 13 years old, very observant, and has not only seen and experienced suffering, but wants to create a world where children are safe to cry.

A band of men who share the same purpose, to rid their world of unnecessary suffering from those who cannot defend themselves against the changing of the times, power struggles, and clashing ideologies of peace. while capturing the essence of what it means to have a heart filled with conviction. "What is honor?" "What is justice?" "What does it mean to live or die trying?" All questions you believe you could guess the answer to, but the characters warm my heart every time with the depth of their feelings and conviction. I'm grateful to have come across this story. I love the way it's being told as well.

Haijme's backstory was interesting, having him loss this parents and after that his master before joining Miburo's.

The next fight would be interesting as well.
