Yuri?! Wow, what a familiar face. The surprise aside, they also made some new discoveries...

Episode gave a mystery vibe with both Yuri's return and that facility. But seriously, I'd almost thought Yuri would not make comeback until maybe the season finale.

Goofy episode -> serious episode -> goofy episode -> serious episode -> goofy episode -> serious episode. Weird but entertaining show, hehe.

Doppelgängers, huh?

The plot is getting more and more mysterious.

hmm... I think the bodies inside those capsules are the real bodies while the ones outside are the avatars with their own consciousness. This also can be the reason why Renge doesn't have any blood and her body can heal immediately after getting an injury.

It's surprising how makes sense the plot has become. It's definitely becoming more interesting. I can't wait for the next episode. But I'm also sad this anime is ending soon.

Wow this was actually a decent twist. So it's not time travel at least and the loop theory also seems to be falling apart.

"Sorry, it happens in games."

Was not expecting that, the not dead yet ones have also been duplicated. Mostly confirmed my andvari theory, anyway. What is the distinction between the not damaged memory-not dead yet ones vs the other avatars? I am fair certain they are all is some sort of virtual world.

Ok shit’s getting really interesting now. If this weren’t made by Gohands or even if they made it and just didn’t do all the crazy camera angles it would’ve had potential. The pacing has hurt it too but there’s some really interesting mystery here.

My multiversal theory seems out the window so what I’m working with now is a NierDrake verse theory where humanity did some stupid shit as per usual, made an AI to take care of themselves as they hibernate to let whatever happened happens as well as making copies of people, something ended up going wrong and that’s how we are where we are. Basically Nier Replicant plot. We’ll see tho, sucks they left off on a cliffhanger today. I need answers

It’s also quite a twist that all those memories Renge thought she had of the other yuri were really Nerine’s. But still, who are these people, are they just clones of the humans in hibernation, are they in a simulation or what.. hopefully we find out next ep

I'm so confused, but also so intrigued...
I understood it like: The girls with the weapons are the real ones, except for Renge. All the other girls are clones without memories. Renge has the memories because of the weapon. Maybe, the Wild Hunts gather data about them during fights, and create the clones, for some reason.

Episode 10: Momentary Yuri

The start of this episode picks up where it left off with them seeing Yuri- but then she disappears- and to investigate, they take a trip down
the most impressive escalator I've ever seen (it's a lot nicer than the one I recently took down the London Tube) and then walk through a subway stop (more sparkly than the Elizabeth Line for sure) where there's a hole a wall. "A Dungeon!" just like a game- but Hina warns them there might be traps- like in a game. Then they quickly discover the mainframe- where a bunch of matrix-capsules are connected to it, and see Yuri again.
But this time she speaks to them, and another group of the same girls also appears behind her: a duplicate Hina, a duplicate Ayame, a duplicate Sazanka, a duplicate Erika. But there's only one Renge- and one Yuri.

At this point they could have gone one way with it and revealed what I said I thought was going on since episode 2, that the game they're stuck in is having some sort of problem and how do they figure out how they're connected- but they went the Door #3 route and dumped loads of exposition that made as much sense as the flight path of a house fly, seriously I had no idea what the hell they were talking about!!!
Somewhere they were showing a diagram of the 5 girls with weapons, 5 without, and for some reason they introduced ANOTHER girl named Nerine and I'm just lost...

Renge faints a few times and by the third time it lost its dramatic affect. So she's a girl who met another girl who had memories of Yuri but the memories were in her 'Andvari' giant guitar weapon, and Renge gained her memories after Nerine died, but then she died.... NO IDEA

Then the ending reveals Yuri as the game's AI. Boom-boom-boom!!!

I feel like this would have been a really interesting episode had the show not spent so long meandering with fanservice and kappou segements and instead spent time on building up its mystery.

FUCKING NUTS!!!! So much lore, I don't know if I'd be happy or upset if OG Yuri came back. Nerine seems like such a bro, though it's funny how everyone looks to her as a maternal figure than the actual big sis of the group, which I may add is the biggest jobber of the bunch. The show's genuinely gotten good beyond just being cute mixed with hype, digging it, and Hina killing the rats was so morbid. No derelict cooking segment again so you know shit is real, and the dystopian atmosphere of the place they're all in adds to the looming danger vibe around the corner this episode is emitting. Fantastic episode.

Can't believe how sync there doppelgangers were, and there were more to spare in capsules!? We'll finally get all the answers to the unknown since the anime started in the remaining 3 episodes.

The show so far was interesting but not the best so far, the twist/plot they gave was decent, hopefully the ending will be satisfying by the end of this.

Decent Twist, but the girls wasted a lot time talking but saying nothing, there is more that could have been revealed in this episode if wasn't for the constant nonsense talk, and because of that the ending feels abrupt. The result ended being very similar to what I supposed, although I thought that all the girls were like Kappou girl, things seem to indicate that in our group, with the exception of Kappou Girl, the other girls are the real ones(that could explain why Don Don Don girl died while Kappou girl seems to regenerate), or at least they are the ones who have all their memories.
Idk where the story wants to go(and is 10 episode now), but we'll see.

@elois1uchiha I'm with those who think this isn't Reality. It's some weird game or VR World. Which would explain the complete lack of males in the show & the weird gears that hover over the cherry trees ( which no one else ever seems to notice! LOL).

Big L for the creator, or director, or writer... Whoever chose to not focus on Yuri and Nerine as main characters and gave us these other four abominations instead. They are on-screen for five minutes this episode and are better than anything that I have saw in the last 8 episodes. I thought they "killed off" best girl right away, but turns out she was just #2. Best girl didn't even show up until episode 10 and is on-screen for 2 minutes before she is "killed off," as well. A full episode of Nerine and Renge's initial meeting would have been great. Hell no, says the man responsible, let us skim it/montage it and get back to balloon tits, cooking mama, girl who uses 4chan chat logs as a thesaurus, and the other one, you know the brooding one. This episode actually pissed me off, lol.

Now that I am done ranting the twist that was only semi-revealed, is fairly interesting. I'm at least curious as to what the bodies in the pods mean. I'm guessing one or the other is A.I. used to battle the enemies. So, my guess would be that the ones walking around are data and the pod bodies are "real." Could be wrong.

Can Momentary Lily ever have an episode that doesn’t shock us? Episode 10 introduces “copy” girls that dismantle theories sparked by Yuri’s return last episode. Renge faced her mirrored self, tying into her lost memories of Nerine, which adds a haunting layer.

This show has taught me to stop theorizing and just enjoy the ride. The virtual world twist, with the girls meeting an AI Yuri, keeps us guessing. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, and delightful—best to embrace the wild journey!

So Yuri is back, sort of. For whatever reason the girls have been cloned and with AI involved maybe this is a virtual reality world as some have postulated but regardless of what's going on it's a bit sad to see that this presumably cloned Yuri doesn't have any memories of the girls (at least not the girls we've been watching). Hopefully we'll find out what the heck is going on soon.

I didn't actually see this coming. I figured Yuri would be like Renge but seeing there is multiple versions of the girls at once makes it even more mysterious as to what is going on and why.

And for some reason there is no Renge shown in any capsule.

"Complete lack of males in the show" is pretty expected for a spiritually CGDCT show like this though...It could be that the show's creators just don't think that the majority of their audience came to the show for and wants to see males, and keeps it all female for easier fanservice and merchandising potential.

So Renren was not revived, but rather she has false memories from her weapon. I think that makes sense, now the big question remains why there are three versions of each of them.

Yuri coming back from the dead is surely a mystery, but Team Emu has gone too far to back down now, as more of Renge's memories return and the illusive girl is found with exact doppelgangers of the girls in a caged facility of capsules that the Wild Hunt would not dare cross. But to also see Yuri's childhood friend Nerine Shirayuki, as well as the dead bodies in the capsules, this plot's going crazier than ever.

So, Nerine with her Andvari meeting the old Renge and spending time with her through the good and bad, the former died before she could find Yuri, leaving old Renge to take the reins of her weapon, imbued with Nerine's feelings for Yuri that overwritten the current Renge's memories, made worse when both hers and Yuri's weapons merged into one. It's possible to find Renge's memories within one of the many capsule replicas, but one thing's for certain: Yuri being the machine's AI, it just sounds so goofy.

What's Yuri's AI reasoning, however?
