Ufotable has always prioritized quantity over quality, they don't bite more than they can chew. Demon Slayer takes priority from Aniplex and Ufotable as the bigger IP.

Ufotable only does 4 projects at a time, and at the moment Demon Slayer is taking up most of their time and resources; Mahoyo Movie is also in the works because they have showed us a PV, but we don’t know when it’s coming out and the last PV was a 1 1/2 ago.

The Genshin project has had some information potentially leaked, and it’s not being worked on at the moment because of Demon Slayer.

As for this series it’s also been put on the back burner, most likely because it’s not a high priority because of Demon Slayer. The thing is this series has been taking up a project slot for years.

At least this series isn’t being treated like their Girls Work project.

Didn't you want to say quality over quantity? That's what you are implying here, in my opinion.

Not sure about the fate of the movie's development, but I sure hope it does not get cancelled…

Edit: This is outdated, Genshin is coming in 2027 apparently, and Kimetsu looks like it's going to be 2025-2027-2029. So mahoyo would be 2026 and 2028, or something like that.

It will come out. Trust me, it will, someday... Same thing with Mahoyo, Genshin and even Girl's Work, as hard as that may be to believe.

Here's an estimation I made based on my knowledge about ufotable:

2025 (mid): Kimetsu movie 1
2025 (late): Mahoyo movie 1 (production started at the very least 3 months before the end of 2023, and since it isn't out yet, it's obvious it's being produced in parallel very slowly)
2026 (mid-late): Kimetsu movie 2
2027 (mid): Kimetsu movie 3
2027 (late): Mahoyo movie 2 (produced slowly in parallel by Sudo, Takenaka, etc. like the first one, for a couple of years)
2028 (mid-late): Katsugeki movie (Toshiyuki Shirai may have advanced some parts by himself if he does not appear in Kimetsu movie 3)
2029 (mid-late): Genshin anime (TV) (If this is 2 cours then delay everything after by a year) (Most of the rumors are probably false, this will not be more than 12-24 eps)
2030 (mid-late): Fate/stay night 1st route remake (TV) 1st cour (announced in the 25th anniversary of the Visual Novel in Jan 2029, it will happen, THIS IS NOT HOPIUM)
2031 (mid): Fate/stay night 1st route remake (TV) 2nd cour (Director will most likely be Takashi Suhara)
2032 (mid): Girl's Work
And finally after that, the inevitable Tsukihime Remake anime, which will take like 8 years or more to fully adapt the 6 routes. (Director is Masaru Takenaka 100%, because of the OPs)

Even if some things are incorrect, like the asumption that no new projects will be announced, or that mahoyo is 2 movies, or that mahoyo's second movie will be produced like the first one, the overall structure should like more or less like that, but the further into the future the higher chance of being wrong obviously.
