Well, that's the Dennis we all know. He fights for the people and what he loves, not for himself.

They went with a cleah although predictable ending. Still a sweet anime imo, even with the few intense episodes in the past few weeks. Well played Dennis. He really did accomplish his dream.

Dennis finally reaching his Level 100 potential to deal with Vigo, and what damage it truly is for the chef to go all out on his former leader and render him defeated with his unique skill Forced Shop Exit Strike. Truly a sight to behold for Atelier and the rest seeing Dennis at his best and worst, as do his adoptive mother Jeane seeing the fruits of her foster son, with the new Silver Wing Battalion's captain's role passed onto Katie. But to reach the illusive level, it's a matter of listening to one's heart and reaching that potential.

The rebuilding of the restaurant, as planned in the revised blueprint by Atelier and the rest with ther various ideas to help spruce up the atmosphere, Dennis has nothing but resisting opinions everywhere, just as the city itself rebuils from scratch after the villainous attempts with Vigo and the other involved authorities arrested and captured behind bars. At the very least, the city's safe now, and Dennis's Adventurer's Restaurant...erm, the Outcast's Restaurant, much ado being the exact same as it is before, the cooking business is back with a gourmet-ful bang, along with his usual customers.

So little gourmet, for so much story on the side, it's a palatable show in its decency.

Seeing Dennis's powerful unique skill upon reaching level 100 made me wonder what is Jean's unique skill, as well as that of the other legendary characters mentioned in history. I suppose not all of these unique skills will be combat focused, yet extremely powerful in their own way.

"If you can't stand up on your own, you can have someone pull you up." Hearing these words of Vivia makes all of us want to visit the Outcast Restaurant, especially on bad days or tough periods, so that we can be revitalized and motivated to push on once more.

So happy to see Dennis reach level 100 he fully deserves it and even more happy to see the restaurant has been rebuilt and everyone is happy. This was a really fun show.

And so we end with Dennis reaching Level 100 and defeating Vigo, everyone moving on with their lives and restoring the Outcast's Restaurant!

I liked this series quite a bit, more than I was expecting I think. As far as these restaurant/izakaya-esque style shows go this one had much more of an overarching plot than most. Whereas many of the others I've watched turn out to be largely anthology series focusing on the lives of a new customer or two every episode this one really only had a few main characters coming together with a focus on how their lives help to change those of Dennis and Atelier. I thought that the story wrapped up pretty nicely, so I was surprised to see that we even seemed to get a bit of a second season tease with the apparent reveal of Dennis' brother. Would I watch a second season? Absolutely. Solid 7/10.

Same energy fr

Vigo was a tough bastard to beat, gotta give him that.

This anime wasn't just a comfy food anime like I thought it would be. It was nonetheless nice overall.

There's still Dennis big brother, but I doubt we'll get a second. Wouldn't mind if I'm wrong about that.

The first half of this series is pretty dark, then comes the wholesome middle part, followed by depressing second part and it ends with a hopeful ending.

A rollercoaster of emotion that's essential for Dennis to learn what is the most important thing in life, friends and family.

Dennis' new level 100 skill:

He's a baka, and these two know it:

Overall, good story. It became quite intense when Dennis saved each character, and then the whole Vigo thing. Still, they left the brother thing in the air and decided to end the story like you would've guessed it would end.

But hey, Atelier was happy, that was the whole point, right?

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I don’t believe it- a 12 episode anime that ended on a satisfying note!

No outstanding plot points left hanging, and all the major pieces came together and were resolved by the end.

Definitely a 4/5 show overall, and a good watch. I doubt there’s a season 2 since it ended in such a way that there really isn’t more story to tell, but I found the story we got enjoyable.

The ending was predictable as I figured it would be but at least it ended on a good note with Dennis' restaurant being rebuilt. Regarding the storyline, even if Vigo was defeated there's Dennis' brother that might be up to no good as he seems to be plotting something so having said that I would watch a 2nd season if its made. Anyways, I found this to be a good watch.

I swear I can't get over Katie's outfit, like holy hell like why'd they have to give her the most revealing outfit in existence and just have absolutely no one question it once. Hell I swear this episode it looked like 500x more revealing idk what they did.

Putting that aside this was a good anime, nothing special but a nice watch had a small but nice cast of characters, no one really stood out much except maybe Henrietta I liked her silly personality

Overall low 7/10

So Heath is Dennis's blood related older brother? Then what happened for Dennis to get kicked out of his family when he was young?

Does Dennis even know Heath exists?

The way they act of being evil they think Dennis is going to get in his way? Does Dennis even care about what they are planning to begin with?

That entire scene with Dennis's brother felt completely out of place. Dennis only did anything to Vigo and the other nobles to begin with was only because they paid attention to him. If they left him alone he wouldn't of known of their existence to begin with.

@Moppit thank you!! I was wondering the same and was like what is that scene there for. Are we getting a 2nd season or something and they did that? It was weird to have it there and it was unnecessary in my opinion

On the one hand, it's nice when the adaptation isn't rushed, on the other hand, the villain of this arc is just trash, and why the hell didn't the sweet Atelier-chan's wish come true? Otherwise, a second season would have been nice, although, aside from the main character's brother, they didn't really do much of a lead-in to the second arc.

I really liked this anime. It was cozy, chill, but it had some really interesting and emotional parts, and even a good fight at the end. And of course, the characters were the best part of it. Just thinking I won't be seeing Atelier-chan next week makes me sad already lol
I'll hope for a second season!

I think they put that scene with Heath there on the possibility it does get another season in the future. The ending was good and not a huge cliffhanger if it never gets another season. I haven't read the books, so I have no idea how far the story goes, but that's just my guess.

@endless_Story_ Still Heath having any type of grudge or having any reason to care about Dennis feels out of place to me. Dennis was orphaned maybe at the age of 5? As far I know he shouldn't care what Dennis does.

Yeah I have no idea lol my only guess is it would be similar to Atelier, where it has something to do with royalty or noble bloodlines. If they all left Dennis alone, they wouldn't have any problems in the first place.

everybody went cray designing the revamped restaurant's blueprint, but i had a feeling dennis would keep it how it was setup before it got burnt down.

now, that heath guy...i knew he was a sibling, but dennis didn't recognize him so it makes me wonder if dennis was a mistress' child or if he was cast out when he was very young...

I thought this will be cozy restaurant story, turned out to be better than I expected.

That ending was perfect if they decide to not make sequel. Only thing myterious left is about Dennis' brother and his past story.

That lv 100 move is funny lol.

Overall pretty good. I just realized that the novel illustrator got removed just like the Guild girl anime.

Maybe the usual noble twin trope. They may only need 1 male heir and the other get discarded. I think Dennis know about Heath.
Dennis only want to live in peace and cook, he only took action because people were encouraging him.

Heath scene was not completely out of place. It's to show that he was cooking some plan and the nobles were supposed to be part of his plan.

A so called gourmet series with a battle shounen arc ending. If you are looking for a gourmet/food/cooking series, look elsewhere. The series had good potential in episode 1, but I guess we had a little hint from episode 2 when the author shows us what they really wanted to write about.

Katie with another all talk scene for no reason. I completely forgot about Heath and we got confirmation that he is the brother but it actually doesn't matter at all. Atelier was cute, Vivia was the surprise MVP going from most obnoxious to most reasonable kid in just an episode, Bachel was a background character, and Henrietta is your typical annoying baka. Jean was based but otherwise the rest of the cast was meh. Polpo is strangely based but I can't really like the guy.

The callback to the market scene in episode one at the end with Atelier was the best part.

While I do dislike the levelling up, it's really some lazy means to show power and strength. However, I really liked the condition to become level 100, since in-game that'd be some unique mission or item like in games, but it leaves an interesting part of the levelling system.
I guess if he wanted to be the greatest chef, there would be more gourmet than action/story, just never mess with any father-figures and their daughters.
I'll miss that part of that anime, it was really sweet and adorable.

Quite an underrated series, but is actually a solid one. I recommend this! 🥰

P.S. I love the ED.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

So the creepy look alike guy was his brother. Apart from that it felt like a conclusive and satisfactory ending. The fight was well done. Contrary to what the mother cook and the red head said, I thought his level 100 skill was very fitting, ejecting bad customers from his restaurant is clearly within scope.

A fun series overall, surprised at the low rating. It wasn't anything ground breaking, but was heartwarming and well done. Looking forward to the next season if they ever decide to make it.

Not gonna lie, I almost dropped this anime. Wasn't much fun of the 1st half because I didn't really enjoy the drama involving each of the characters. I mean, right from the start (2nd or 3rd episode) we start with a rape attempt? Like... rape? abuse? slave? all of that all over again. I am tired and sick of dramas like that in anime, specially when they focus their drama on those.

Also, they could have been avoided (specially by Dennis). Dennis could see or highly suspicious where those girls (and well, Vivia a guy) were heading to a bad news, but decided to act just in the last minutes - I know... this was necessary for plot purposes.

Then, 2nd half starts to get better. The fighting was pretty well done, which I was not expecting at all. That bastard Virgo got what he deserved and that is something I value in animes. Evil or bastards villains/antagonist most of the times do not get the bad ending they deserve, which makes me frustrated.

I think I am going to rate 6/10. Would rate 6.5/10 if possible. But I really wish I could rate 7/10 because I sincerely enjoyed some of the episodes in the 2nd half, also Dennis and his little group are nice.

Atelier super cute.
Dennis mother also very cool.

Gosh... by this point maybe I should rate 7/10 ? >.< But that 1st half, not something I enjoyed, sincerely.
