 The official X (formally Twitter) of the Mato Seihei no Slave (Chained Soldier) anime series revealed new cast for the second season on Saturday. The second season adapting Takahiro and Youhei Takemura's action fantasy manga is scheduled to premiere on January 8 at 11:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, and MBS.  CastFubuki Azuma: Yukana (Helck) Mira Kamiunten: Fairouz Ai (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) Konomi Tatara: Kana Ichinose (Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta) Bell Tsukiyono: Manaka Iwami (Tougen Anki) Yakumo Ezo: Fuuka Izumi (Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi.) Masafumi Tamura (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru) is directing the second season at Passione and Hayabusa Film. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru) is handling the series composition. Keiya Nakano (Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku) is designing the characters and Kohta Yamamoto (Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta) is composing the music. The first season, produced by Seven Arcs, aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2024. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime in North America and simulcast it on HIDIVE. Takahiro and Takemura began serializing the manga on the Shounen Jump+ web magazine in January 2019. Shueisha published the 19th volume on September 4. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in December 2021. The 12th volume went on sale on September 9, with the 13th volume planned for a December 16 release.
