 The official website of the new anime series adapting Tsukasa Hojo's Cat's♥Eye manga revealed additional cast, second part promo, and a visual (pictured).The first six episodes of the new anime debuted on Disney+ from September 26 to October 31, with the latter six episodes scheduled to streamed from December 26 to January 30, 2026. Hulu is streaming the anime in North America. Voice actors Kenyuu Horiuchi (Naruto) and Ryoutarou Okiayu (Clannad) are joining the cast as Shin Kaibara and Michael Heinz, respectively. Yoshifumi Sueda (Rail Wars!) is helming the new anime at LIDENFILMS. Hayashi Mori (Hataraku Saibou Black) is handling the series composition and script. Yousuke Yabumoto (Yuusha ga Shinda!) is designing the characters and Yuuki Hayashi (Karakuri Circus) is composing the music. Hojo drew the action comedy manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from 1981 to 1984. Shueisha published the 18th and final volume in July 1985. Coamix began publishing the manga in English on its MangaHot website in July 2024. Tokyo Movie Shinsha adapted the manga into a 73-episode television anime which premiered in Summer 1983.
