Like with the ED, MadHouse keeps on delivering with their caring animated craft. The entire puppet segment in EP2 is based on actual real life performance.
| Seems like it's not the last we will hear of MadHouse getting high-effort mode with their adaptation in here. This one is for all Thunderbolt Fantasy bros in the discussion, MadHouse's twitter just posted in 4 parts the process behind how they made the sequence using actual puppetry through the guidance of the "Puppet Theater Troupe PUK" group, also involved in the production and credited accordingly in the ED. Good old Keiichiro Saito was the responsible for digitally animating the play and designing the puppets. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4 (also, PUK's own post about their participation).  |

well, since he's taken a step back, he can now focus his efforts into stuff like this.
| @Suprgamr123 That's my personal guess as well. He probably was burned out for not having time to be meticulous in his craft, so he assumed he no longer had much more to bring to the table. Now that he is less burdened with directing, he got himself refreshed for more stuff like this. |

Since I have mentioned the ED, the artist just published the unholy amount of hand-drawn pages used for it, honestly insane amount of work, must have taken so long! |
